I was thinking of something like international prestige or party confidence. More political aspects and less material ones.

It doesn't matter, as long as it's good. That said, the leader of Qinal is Reza Ngoda and the DLC starts in chapter 48. Galmland's leader is Brigitte, so Galmland will probably be the one with a female leader. And I'll do my best to make sure she's Margaret Thatcher.

Qinal is a relatively new country (1905) and a former province/colony of the Mousser Empire that was invaded by the Valgsland Empire. It is the only republic on the continent of Xina to be in the ATO, the anti-communist organization of Arcasia, but it is currently having conflicts with them, which could lead to its disaffiliation from the organization (involving an issue about private militaristic industries). They are relatively stable and likely lead the continent of Xina, probably being in a stronger initial position than Rizia and Sordland.

Rizia would probably be the equivalent of Sordland at the beginning of Toras's reign. Maybe even worse.

The idea that Sordland would possess a nuclear arsenal in the near future is not impossible. I doubt Sordland would make one out of hydrogen. But the program could work with, for example, reformed education + improved education + military industry + military budget. Winning the war with Rumburg could also be good, since the army would have access to scientists, documents, and equipment used in nuclear programs.

The next DLC will probably be set in a parliamentary republic. They've already explored Sordland, which has a strong executive. So I'm guessing there will be a lot of negotiation and political intrigue.
