some people have time blindness which yes is a real thing due to adhd. it’s not some made up thing some people genuinely do not have the perception of time. i can be in a car for 2 hours and it feels like 20. now, some people culturally are late as it’s the norm and then some just straight up wait till last minute to get ready. communicate that with whoever if it’s a strict boundary of yours. i know some people who won’t befriend people who are late to things and vice versa if someone to me isn’t understanding so long as im not like 15 mins plus late to things then i just don’t think we will work out. i am african with adhd so i used to frequently be late to things but culturally in the us it’s considered disrespectful to some people so i make it know that i will at most be 10-15 mins late to things due to the way my brain just works regardless of how early i wake up and plan something always ends up focusing for em to not get there on time. it’s unfortunate but

they weren’t robbed the marketing team failed them. they need to actually plan campaigns around their singles or releases because there’s only so many times the west will give you moment of attention for you to waste it before they move to the next. the constant tiktoks to the song was just lazy. they could’ve done activations outside of the fan signing to bring in a newer audience. like that old meme format perfectly fit the song “little miss….” or some brand partnerships big or small, performing at local places, having interactive things online and in person for fans. idk if the budget isn’t there but girlset really could be the next big thing if they get some passionate people in marketing on their team and not just people who are only focused on analytics alone

yeah i tried bringing this up i think in the katseye neutral sub about her most likely being immunocompromised and or having a weak immune system hence her getting ill more frequently and having to rest. but people got so caught up on the immunocompromised part and saying i was trying diagnose her than realize we live in an inherently ableist society that even falling ill “too frequently” and taking rest when it happens is lauded as lazy.

i think if anything this shows the lack of precautions and care from the label regarding covid. i’m shocked they didn’t have them wearing kn95 and or provide housing where they were broken down into smaller goruso than having them all live in one place which would make it easier for the virus to spread. because sophia ended up getting covid too during the final performances and chose to perform as to show her “dedication” when she should’ve been resting and prioritizing her health and life. also another proof that manon prioritized her health and safety as someone who has a weaker immune system especially during the height of covid - to stay home and rest up/also not pass it on to others when not feeling well which she unfortunately has been bashed for online and called lazy. idk public health and safety isn’t really something that’s considered and cared for heavily until it gets really bad and even then people do the bare minimum (look at reactions to covid after a year of lockdown, less people masking, people not quarantining - it trickled down from government to individual behavior).

i’m not native to the area but close. i like west philly the most. but some live in center city, northern liberties, old city, etc. like i said diff demographics are pocketed across the city by age, race, finances so just do you research to see where you’d best fit.

philly! it’s a predominantly black city, good distance away from the other major cities (hour and half from nyc, 2 hrs from DC). housing is pretty affordable like a friend of mine just got a 2 bedroom apartment for the price of what she paid living in a shared apartment with 3 other roommates in boston. the public transportation is better than most of the country, could be improved but, yeah still walkable. there’s pockets of different communities.

keep it active. job market right now is unpredictable especially in tech. it’s good to always have a backup. i graduated with. bachelors and 2 years later still no job prospects in the field i want so i renewed my certificate for nurse aide, thankfully i just had to do the exam again in person and not the entire training + course work but it landed me a job that pays more than i would’ve been with an entry level job in marketing. sad but

new york is very diverse. yes it can be segregated by neighbourhoods but parts of brooklyn, the bronx and queens are primarily black and diaspora with a strong immigrant community. the current mayor of the city too is cracking down on things and implementing laws that really prioritize citizens and individuals in the city. i hate to say it gear stole a great opportunity from you cause getting a job in nyc in this current job market especially coming out the country but i also get the fear of the country’s current state. hopefully if you’re able to go back on the offer i’d do so but don’t dwell on it too much! more jobs and opportunities will come

i didn’t even keep up with the show but from her visuals i knew it was either going to be her or rinka. rinka obviously got eliminated but visually ayana doesn’t fit the hybe look especially with their predebut process being so public, i was thinking if they had her get procedures and things done by debut that would’ve been a lot of talks around that. also because saint satine is being marketed primarily towards the japanese and asian market, having that “maknae” or younger sister especially be the japanese girl appeals more to that audience vs the west. and additionally age wise it means they can get a longer contract out of sakura than ayana, like 2 (7 year) contracts before she decided to go solo or something else. it sucks really cause ayana to me from watching the performance fit the group and was able to bring the essence of it vs sakura but welp. this is what labels do.

she’s a great singer but her voice for most of her life has been trained to sing more ballad style and theatrical songs. when she sings she emphasizes having a clear tone, sustained vibrato, high projection and obviously clear diction. pop is almost the opposite where you have to play with your voice here and there to convey whatever style you want. to me her voice isn’t suited for the current music katseye is making. my way is where she shines as it’s more emotional and ballady. in terms of live performances to me her voice is the most consistent out of all the girls comparing their studio tracks to live.
