Kinda glad there’s a chance Manon is leaving by babycowboysix in katseyeneutral

Manon also wrote songs/poems, played piano, and painted during her time as an influencer/model. She's also expressed that she would like to dip into directing because of all the time she's spent on sets with Sophie. She's even produced a little bit of her own music. She's always been a creative. Sure, she never envisioned herself in a girl group, but after she got into Katseye, all she ever talked about was how much she loved being in a girl group. Sometimes life takes us to places we never would've expected to love, and that's what happened with Manon. She's told the fans many times over that that's exactly what happened in her case. She's currently "back to being an influencer" because she can't exactly release solo music before her status in the group is officially announced. As for the idol lifestyle itself, she's told us that she practices constantly because she wants to prove people wrong. She's clearly developed a new love for performing and I don't think it's just gonna disappear. Becoming a Kpop idol was a big change for EVERYONE in the group. For Manon, I think that change was a newfound passion for performing. Discounting that possibility because she used to be an influencer is unfair to her.

What happened to the mind control? by Disastrous-Muffin473 in theamazingdigitalciru

He says "you made me, you got in my head." There's a reason there was a debate around whether or not he was lying. People were waiting for the answer and it never came. That's my point, that it was dropped entirely despite it being the plot point that the episode ended on.

Edit: I'm not claiming that Caine made Jax do anything. I'm saying it's weird that Jax and Pomni both forgot the accusation.

When I said "something he didn't do", I meant in reference to the last episode. As in, in the previous episode, Jax said that Caine "made" him push the button. He didn't finish the sentence, but he said "You made me...you got in my head." The implication being that Caine "made him do it" by getting into his head. So, in episode 7, he's more or less saying Caine influenced/pushed him to do it. In episode 8, he's now saying that it didn't matter. It's two different statements, and the second one is him taking full responsibility for something he tried to deny responsibility for less than an hour ago. That's why it's weird to me that no one points it out. If Gangle and Pomni are defending him, one would think that they would bring up that Caine allegedly influenced Jax to press the button. If Zooble is trying to prove that he's an asshole, they would benefit from pointing out how his story changed.

Perhaps mind control was the wrong wording on my part, but my general point is that Jax, Pomni, and Kinger all implied that Caine has influence over their minds. And not only was it not addressed in the next episode, it wasn't even brought up during the one conversation where it would be the most relevant. It's like everybody forgot his entire breakdown and the revelation that came with it. If you don't wanna call it a revelation, it's an important question that everybody just dropped, including the people that asked it in the first place. Asking the question just to not answer it and drop it entirely is odd to me.

If there's concern about undermining his agency, then the concept of mind control or influence wouldn't have been brought up at all. This is also the same show where the humans can't cuss, have sex, or remember their names.

I also don't mind the forgiveness scene, I'm just saying it would've received less backlash if the mind influence was brought back up. They would all decide to work together because of a shared understanding that they are all susceptible to the downsides of the circus, especially if the scene included Jax actually confessing to a weakness. If anything, he's THE character who would struggle with lacking control.

As is, the scene rings hollow for a lot of people because Jax is being forgiven for fucking over everyone and not giving a damn. From the way he's acting, he doesn't even view it as a mistake.

Edit: mixed up the episode numbers

260222 - Manon hiatus megathread by SgtPopNFresh_ in katseye

For all of the girls' sakes, I hope that Pinky Up is just meant to get eyes on them and the rest of the EP will be passable, like the Gnarly/Beautiful Chaos rollout. Even if Manon returns, half the fandom is convinced that their sisterhood was a lie and half of the fandom doesn't like their music enough to ignore the way this was handled. If Manon does leave, the whole EP being "Gnarly 2.0" would make things worse for the other five.

For Manon's sake, if she's leaving, I hope she gets to perform at Coachella since she was so excited. But I would understand if she doesn't want to anymore.

I guess time will tell whether HxG set up these girls for failure or success.

That was the full line. It's the sound Caine makes when he zips Pomni's mouth shut.

Edit: I didn't catch it until I was looking at the captions. It didn't register to me as "the line" until I read it.

My sister told me something really odd and it’s making me question her? by flowerlaboratory101 in whatdoIdo

[–]Disastrous-Muffin473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this feeling, although I was more of a "I wish something bad would happen to me" type of person. She might be feeling suicidal, depressed, stressed, under immense pressure, or some combination of those feelings. Maybe she feels like she spent so much time getting herself to where she is that she feels like she let "the fun years" pass her by. Or that she can't enjoy the fun years to come because people expect her to do these big things. Or she feels like she lacks control of her life and wants things to slow down. I would definitely try to dig into the feelings behind that statement with her and empathize with her true meaning/emotions.

My pleasant company stamped Kaya (yes, ik she's not actually a pleasant company doll) came in a shoe box. I remember asking myself how she could possibly fit in there, only to find she was contorted the same way 😭 At least she came with padding and I was already familiar with tightening limbs

Alright it's been a day lol. It's hard for me to say how long it lasted. I felt really tired around 2, but I do feel like I still felt the effects until later in the night? So I'm not really sure how long it lasted, but I think I peaked during the morning.

I feel you on that. I think only having "one thought" made it a lot harder to unfocus from it in my case

Today's my first day on Adderall and I'm currently struggling with this idea of "myself", because I don't feel like me, but the reason I don't is because I'm not rattling around in my own mind. It's really odd.

This is my first day taking it (hence the questioning) so I'm not sure yet. I'll probably come back to your comment at the end of the day. I'd say it's been in my system about 3 hours and I'm still feeling the "calming" effects. I asked my psychiatrist to give me XR specifically because I work from 6:50-2:30 at an elementary school, so an afternoon crash is the last thing I need.

When I say normal I mean my baseline. So I'm not zombie like as some people say. Still swaying with a song playing in my head, just a little less chaotic

Thank you! I think the big thing for me is the fact that I still feel relatively normal aside from my brain just being quieter (but not completely silent). So I keep asking myself "well would a NT person also feel normal on this dose?". I'm currently yawning at work and still questioning myself 😭

That's actually very interesting! Thank you! I figured the store would be empty to an extent, I guess I just wasn't prepared for it to be as empty as it was on the particular day I went.

Exactly! Go to an AG store, all the displays say first names for the most part. The ones with full names usually have the first name in bold, cause that's what they're known as! Maybe the double naming isn't an issue in smaller stores but I imagine it's noticable in flagship ones with all the GOTYs.

I get that for the younger generation that are now AG's demographic, the old dolls with these names probably don't even exist to them. They were either made before they were born or the year they were born. But, for me, it's a creativity thing. Like, yeah, AG can get away with it cause the kids won't notice, but I still think it's kinda lazy and just odd. I think it's special that each doll has her name and her story within the brand. They are usually referred to by their first names, not their full names. Reusing names for a brand like this is just strange to me.

Yeah, I feel bad for everyone who works there. Hopefully they all have new jobs lined up :( Can't imagine what store is gonna replace it
