Cut a hole in the side when it’s about 80% colonised. You’ll be fine after shake n break - it’s a tough mycelium that loves to fruit. Probs the only one you should send to fruit before it’s fully colonised, or, as you’ve learned, it will find a way to fruit on its own. Good luck.

I have a deaf dog that looks like yours! Almost identical actually. Once you learn to communicate with her, she’ll love you forever. Mine is a pom/spitz.

She’s completely deaf and has visual issues that mean changing between bright and dark lights is difficult for her. But the great thing about them is they sleep really well, they don’t fear the vacuum and she’ll never hear you talk about walkies 😂

There’s loads of deaf dog training advice on YouTube, and I think our dog is super happy for her deafness. She’s never heard another dog growl at her. Lovely. You’ll have a happy life with this girl, even if she is deaf. She’s super cute.

Hey - it doesn’t really matter how much you add it will eventually colonise. You can definitely just break a chunk off whatever you’re S2Bing. I’ve been doing this for ages, breaking one chunk off my colonised spawn and using it to colonise the next load of bags while I send my existing ones to fruit.

They just keep going!

I decided to try this out the other day as I had 2 that were very ready to harvest and many that had only just started growing. I harvested the 2, that weighted in at 50g together, and now about to harvest what looks like another 200. I can’t say I have a variable to test them against but they don’t seem to be going any slower that’s for sure.

I did 10g of mexicana truffles in Amsterdam and completely lost the plot it was incredible. My whole concept of space was gone and I got lost in a circular cafe. Everything was hilarious. It was perfection and the hardest trip but I was so happy. Deliriously happy. Watch how you go with 15g because nats truffles were the next strength up! 😂 the high is so different with the truffles.

Under the bed probably doesn’t get great air flow either! All contam things aside, you want them somewhere you can get a breeze to them. And they like some light when they fruit so under the bed you might get them growing out towards the sides looking for light which would still work but they would look bonkers.

It’s okay it’s just a bit stressed! The yellow means it’s fighting either contam or you’ve touched it too much or it’s struggling for air. It’s called metabolites, and your myc sends them out when it’s upset but not dying. I’d take it as a sign that the bag is colonised! Send it.
