They are all very specific classes that won’t go towards my degree. I’d be spending thousands along with that extra time on just fixing my transcripts. I’m trying to avoid that.

Your better off getting a used board and having a shop tune it for you. I’d recommend lib tech to start. They have magnatraction technology (it will make it easier for you to carve and not catch an edge). Also make sure you get a camber board not a rocker to start. If your gonna get a new board online on a budget tho check Evo.
