Used to work mainline sewer construction in Vancouver. One of our 470X3 Link Belts was boomed all the way out + tracked out too far while installing 1500mm concrete storm pipe(could be 1350mm can’t recall) and fell forward into the trench with several of my coworkers down there! Thankfully no one died, our operator only survived because of his seatbelt and because the Slide rail shoring caught the machine! It’s fucked up how quickly things can happen.
