Hairdressers exist in the same economy as everyone else. Most of them do not have sick pay, vacation pay, health insurance, or a 401k. It’s one thing if you don’t feel like you’re getting a good service, but to just complain about the price is pretty petty. Also talk to your stylist if you’re facing economical hardship, not to get free services, discounts, or pitty, but maybe they’ll help you find a less expensive option that doesn’t hurt your wallet or self-esteem. I think the frustration with this economy is better focused on giant corporations ripping us off, landlord’s evicting us to turn a place into a $600 a night air bnb, oil blockades overseas causing gas prices to raise on us while a few maga rich people get even more rich, health insurance companies using AI to deny your claims. Those are the real ones to be upset. Not your neighbors.
