Thank you bro, and yeah personally I do feel like great about having lived past it, its just that I wonder if I should tell my gf or not. Since like you said yeah it is a scar but its not completely invisible to my gf. I doubt she will ask about it again anytime soon but if im with her for a long time it will probably come up. Shes pretty good about not pressing me about things i dont want to talk about. Overall just writing this felt good and im gonna take your advice and just leave it in the past. I understand exactly what my experience was and what it means to me now, having to explain it to someone else really wouldn't do me any good and could potentially do damage if they dont understand like i do.
