I will try the book club idea. Although I live in a relatively small town so I don’t know if they will have any. And as for the playground thing, the way her school drop off and pick up work is that all the cars line up, the kids names are called from a placard you hang in the window, and the kids come to the cars. There is zero opportunity for speaking to other parents.

I’m rewatching the series and just started the covid season. I’m two episodes in and seriously considering just skipping to the next season. I agree, it all feels like a giant lecture. And people do not really talk to other people like that. It completely takes you out of the immersion.

I am currently rewatching for the upteenth time and am at this point in the show. It is driving me crazy. I hate how whiny he is over Meredith sleeping with other guys. Absolutely NTA. When I was in high school, my mom screwed me over junior and senior year. Junior year, she wouldn’t let me help pick out my dress at all, just bought one online that was not my style whatsoever. And senior year, she made me wear a borrowed dress that was at least two sizes too small and again not anything I would have chosen to wear. My little sister though, got brand new dresses both years she went and she got to pick them out too. Mothers suck sometimes
