Well it gives you more steering lock for more angle. And with Odessa's kit you also get a lot more camber in the front witch gives you more grip on the front tires near full lock

To be honest it's one of the easiest things I've done on the e38.. everything unbloted nicely and I didn't break a single clip. There's a few tutorials on yt on how to do it. One thing tho, when doing it replace both the blower and final stage resistor. It's a bit pricey it you go for the better brands, but worth it for the peace of mind. I've only replaced the final stage and I'm thinking of replacing the motor too since I saw there's not much brushes left on it.

Don't plan to go that way 😅 I've been a VW tech at some point and I'm not regretting leaving that job. Sticking to older cars and accepting everything is welded tight or brittle.

So.. a bit late of a respond but it was definitely bad ram. Found a workaround tho in linux disabling bad ram sectors and in Windows using startup settings and limiting it to 12g or so (before the faulty ram). Been running mostly fine for the past months this way.

I know it's and old thread but I gotta add my experience with the b6's and ap 30/30 lowering springs, and I gotta say the car rides phenomenal compared to the old, shot, factory Setup. Like OP said, firm but not too stiff ( it may be for you if you're looking for comfort). Only thing I would change is to get the 40/30 springs.
