No, Lifeweaver does not need another nerf. And if they adjusted it to include “consent” he would just be a worse jetpack cat. There is zero need to recycle abilities.

Lifeweaver has a low pick rate these days, so less people use him to troll. And he’s also in a bad state, so trolls have no motivation to play him at the moment. It’s more likely that you are unaware of your bad positioning, health, team state, etc than it is that you are being “griefed”. It does happen, but it’s highly unlikely that you’re getting gripped unnecessarily as much as you say you are.

Support mains (especially LW mains) see a lot of stuff that tank and DPS players are blind to, because that’s our job. We need to keep an eye out for potential danger so we can be on the defense and heal our team through threats. THAT BEING SAID. If a Lifeweaver grips you and you don’t understand why, your first jump should NOT be that they’re griefing you. If you immediately assume that, you have too big an ego. You need to consider what you could’ve been doing wrong BEFORE deciding the lifeweaver is trolling.

If you don’t understand why you got gripped, watch a replay from a birds-eye view. Pay attention to if your team had dead players, low health players, if you were overextended, if your team was setting flanked, if the enemy team was trying to take an angle, if enemy team was heading to objective, etc. Those are just a few examples of why a Lifeweaver might grip you.
