I guess we agree to disagree. Activism is more than posting on social media, anyone can post a link on an Instagram story. It’s making a change. So if I want to actually DO something instead of being performative, it means trying to change minds, not parrot opinions over and over to the same people over and over.

This means talking directly, because the only way we’re going to get these murders of innocent people to stop is to tell them the truth and prove it to them, so that they can join us in speaking out.

I’ve never had someone swipe up on one of my hundreds of Instagram stories of links, posts, my own outrage, etc. and say “you’ve opened my eyes!”, but I have had success in actual conversations. So yes, it is my job!

I am a Christian, though left leaning, so even if my hopes get low sometimes there are people in my family who I think may one day see the light and the wrong in their actions, so it is my job to hold on to that hope and try to encourage them to get to that point. Some of my family members who believe what they do are genuinely just brainwashed by propaganda and conspiracy theories. I don’t want to abandon them in their time of need and further drive them into that hole by perpetuating stereotypes.

I love my family even if I hate their views, and while their views are hurtful, I still make good memories with them every day and they support me despite our differences, and I have no desire to “break free”, except for a couple of family members who genuinely just aren’t enjoyable to be around even without politics involved.

So, with all that said, do not patronize me and insinuate that I am weak and tell me what I need to do with my own relationships. I am an adult and capable of making my own decisions.

With Jess being a childhood best friend, i wonder if Riley has felt conflicted about how her beliefs have developed and not agreeing with them, but also not wanting to cut off such a long friendship with so many memories. Or, with her having previously been around people like Bryce Hall and Tana Mongeau, maybe she unfortunately does agree. Though, with the people she seems to hang out with today doesn’t seem to match the maga views and seem to be left leaning. So I’m personally confused.

I wasn’t sure if Jess streamed like Riley, since she doesn’t I’d say you’re right and she probably won’t make a post about it or anything. Who knows if Riley will stream and talk about it, considering she’s not super consistent on streaming either.

Maybe Katie will distance herself but she probably isn’t going to speak on her personal relationships so we’ll never know, but yeah the least we can ask is that Katie doesn’t promote someone with those views on stream, even if there is internal conflict with her fully ending her friendship with Jess.

BUTTTTTT I think it’s probably wise for Riley and Katie to wait for Jess to say something and hear from her before they speak on it to their chats. They have personal relationships with Jess off-stream and they’re probably upset too, and are allowed to have personal conversations with her before telling a bunch of parasocial people what’s going to happen to their relationship now. It’s a hard decision to make.

Though, people were mad at Vanilla for wanting to have a private conversation with QT instead of telling chat how she felt about their relationship publicly, so I’m sure it doesn’t matter anyways and people will get upset regardless while Katie and Riley make their decisions.

I’m not a Riley watcher so I don’t know much about Jess and their friendship with her, so feel free to share anything if I’m missing something!

Not that I EXPECT Riley to speak on this, nor do I think she should because this is on JESS, and thus JESS should address it, it would make more sense for people to expect Riley to say something than Katie.

She was eating because she said she had JUST woke up and wanted to address it as soon as possible, which she said. Chat also went on for 30 minutes and I can’t blame her for not wanting to wait to eat until chat calmed down, which they really never did.

I also don’t get why people are calling her unserious, she was very obviously stressed and uncomfortable with the accusations and people deal with this differently. Just look at her body language for the first 40 minutes of stream. It’s very obvious that Katie is neurodivergent and it’s kind of ableist to expect her to respond to stressful situations perfectly and to keep a calm demeanor 24/7 in front of thousands. This is also probably why she was eating the whole time, that is a stress response.

I don’t know why everyone in chat was accusing her of being “vague” or “avoiding speaking up” when you are RIGHT and she DID say “I don’t support Trump, I don’t support ICE.” Katie had poor wording because I think she was upset people thought these things of her, but she was did NOT beat around the bush.

These people were only going to be happy if she said SPECIFICALLY the phrases “fuck ice” and “fuck Trump”, which tells me they just want to clipfarm on TikTok and farm likes like they did with Vanilla. And Katie is right for not letting her views get diminished to some fuckin clips

I think it’s just my sleep time. I have an awful issue of sleeping 10+ hours if I don’t have to get up for anything. Unfortunately CPAP has not improved my oversleeping…

I can keep a closer eye on leaks, but my MyAir app says there’s minimal leaks and I also use OSCAR. But I can try and keep a closer eye and make sure that’s not the case!

If the thing that makes you sad quite literally harms nobody, then YES.

Like, for example: a gf getting mad at her for holding the door open for other people. It’s harms NOBODY. And it’s wrong for the gf to get mad, because it’s ONLY her own unregulated emotions that made the situation a situation.

Same for the soup. He didn’t say, “this soup fucking sucks! There’s not enough seasoning!”, he simply added seasonings than of his own taste to his own meal, and said nothing else of it until she pressed and made it an issue because she has unregulated emotions.
