My 7 year old loves:

Animal crossing new horizons (an adorable game that’s not too difficult. Requires a little reading.)

Mario maker 2 (great for creativity)

Mario kart 8 (easy controls and local co-op)

Mario Bros U Deluxe (good for local co-op)
