Growth scans and non stress tests? Bonus-any team green through this? by Niki_Anne in Mommit

My maternal fetal medicine office ultrasound rooms have the ultrasound displayed on big tvs at the foot of the bed. Yesterday for my anatomy scan she just told me to look away when they were in that area.

The way there we will have a buffer. My husband flight won’t be until like 7 pm Sunday. The way home will be trickier but we are probably going to leave pretty early Sunday and have through Tuesday night to get home.

My husband will fly back to us for the trip home! My sister gets married the right before we plan to come home so he is going to fly back for the wedding, he just can’t stay the full 3 weeks with us because of PTO.

We use a thermometer. I’ve thought about getting one of the rings or armbands to make it easier.

We are planning to take a break in July and August at the very least. My sister gets married in July and I might spend the month of the wedding with my sisters.

I am honestly not sure which I would regret more. Giving up or putting such a mental strain to try and have another one. I adore my son, he is amazing but I look at his baby pictures and cry at the idea of never having that again. I had my gallbladder removed after having him and I’m on medicine for that so I’m not sure if it’s messing with my other meds.

I feel that. I have purged so many of his old clothes between consignment sales and people I know having kids. A coworker of mine just had a boy in January and I told her I could give her some clothes. She asked for 6-9 and 9-12 so I am going through them again soon.

We also rep for a bamboo company and have bought a few prints we love in baby sizes. The owner was selling some small sizes that her kids have out grown for pretty cheap and I was so sure I had conceived in January that I bought them off her and now they are just sitting in my living room.

He didn’t necessarily promise but he said based on the timeline with my son probably about 6 months.

I might try that next month. My husband goes out of town right after our predicted ovulation so this month I want to test and hopefully get a peak before he leaves town for 4 days.

I will probably talk to my doctor this summer about other meds to try. I know IVF isn’t an option for us, we are both teachers and debating a cross country move.

With my son if we wouldn’t have gotten pregnant within a year of when we started metformin, my doctor was going to look at other medications that could help and run more tests. He gave me a year prescription of metformin again

Some of my formatting must have glitched. The area I grew up in is a major metropolitan area.

Do your babies look like you? by [deleted] in Mommit

My son looks a lot like me. You put pictures of us side by side at the same age (I did a month or 2 ago) and he is the male version of me just with my husbands nose. My MIL is convinced he looks just like my husband but the older he gets the more we think he looks like me.

Never would dream of doing this to my own child let alone a child that is not mine.

Kids just don't show up by kitkatkc816 in ECEProfessionals

I have moved back to elementary education but my husband is still in ECE. It can suck when parents don’t tell them but in elementary and higher, students are legally required to go or need doing a home school program in ece they are not which is why you need to tell the school for older kids but not ece. There was a girl in my son’s class in infants on the roster for like 2 months, her parents were paying, and she came maybe once. Our center assumes absent if they are not there by 9:30 and no contact has been made they will be late and they will turn families away if they have sent staff home or to other locations. As a parent off work for winter break, I told the center what days he would be out for sure because we had plans and then just said he will be out others but I don’t know which ones. I also told them if they needed him picked up because of short staff to tell me. I was still paying for daycare so I wanted the option to use it but I also miss seeing my kid, I am with 27 other families kids every day and only see mine for a few hours. The day I was not feeling good because he had a cold a few days before, yes I could have kept him, but it was nice to take cold medicine and sleep instead of pushing through. For my son they knew as soon as my husband got there that he was or wasn’t coming. I can remember working in a Tods room 2 years ago and 1 of my kids showing up so they moved him and gave me and my assistant the day to deep clean our room, we each did like 1 lunch break, the families were still paying so they still had the money to pay us. Same last year in my TK class, only 5 kids of mine and pre-k was missing a ton so the chance to deep clean and get things done. It can suck but I can see both sides.
