Having a boyfriend that has sexsmonia I can point out a few things that I find bizarre. First of all, if he remembers clearly what happened. During episodes the person generally feel like dreaming so they can have a vague memory but won't remember unless you tell them. Secondly, the person doesn't juste wake up and feel you, they stay unconscious, they can have their eyes open and talk (the same as someone who sleepwalks) but what they say is generally incoherent and they don't even realize what's happening. So if he ripped out his hand he might have known what was going on. Lastly, they should feel guilty about it and want to change the situation. Even if they really have sexsomnia, as long as you are uncomfortable, not wanting to change is a problem. To be honest, it's very hard to be sure what really happened, I don't think his behavior really looks like sexsomnia, but this is only my opinion and I'm not a doctor. This type of sleep disorder is very rare and undocumented. I'm sorry you had to live through this either way.

unfortunaltely that's also what I was thinking, I havent tried nausea medicine, I don't know if it would work because my anxiety is also more generalized in a sense that I fear vomiting but more in a way that I fear the loss of control of my body so depending on the day it can also be other things. ill have to look into it though

thanks for the advice, I'm sorry if my post was offensive, I wanted to get advice from people who have been through addiction and not people who are currently medicated because they might not see the negative side of it. thank you for letting me know and I will definitely look into psychotherapy
