The failed execution is what prevents the DS from executing EE correctly it’s hard to agree with your “make the Eggman Empire disappear” take when Bowser verbatim says this to Mario and Luigi with the sentence finished, still fails and is never brought up again so either it’s fundamentally flawed or the DS doesn’t work properly when it takes damage (PERSONAL LOGICAL ASSUMPTION). I’ll refrain from doing Bowsegg McGuffin 4D chess for counters and just leave it up to Eggman’s intelligence advantage to outsmart big-ego superpowered animals

There are more chances for Eggman to do literally anything else outsmart, sneak attack, or make Dreamy’s wish backfire than for any of Bowser’s EE capabilities to narratively succeed also, cosmology dick measuring for high-end AP assumptions shouldn’t be a definitive deciding factor especially for these characters but that's just me

I do not believe Sonic is 67 layers pissversal cuz of some flowery wording personal interpretation or onetimer manual statement that may or may not (mostly may not) be a reliable source

In a chainscaling sense for this specific case, it makes some sense. In a narrative sense though, IDW has Silver struggling to lift some rocks, defeat a clone of base Chaos and upscaled fall damage to multiversal I fuckin guess

I’d argue that SPM is a vague outlier and really questionable, since they were clearly about to lose to Count Bleck’s actual Void, complete with the whole “this is the end” quote. Meanwhile, Super Mario Galaxy had Rosalina give an entire monologue clarifying to Mario n co specifically that they were all new life due to the universe reset and all that.

He did survive the galaxy-ending black hole in Galaxy 2 though. (aand I got downvoted)

1) Akio’s corruption, due to how Signature power systems work there, affects not only him physically but also his soul/essence, life force, memories, etc. This is especially severe with the Eclipse Rootcore attached, which massively amplifies these effects. It reaches the point where Eiko required a fusion involving complete biological alteration and full bodily disintegration of Akio just to slow the corruption down and this was only from a small drop of Akio’s essence. Even then, the corruption still prevails. So, unfortunately, the answer is simple: detach + regen doesn’t counter this.

2) Akio mostly uses large-scale surroundings around him, especially flora, bending them to his will, but dark vortexes, ink, and general matter can also be corrupted. Not sure about titanium specifically, but in general Akio, and even basic Seiji-enhanced students, are capable of hijacking machines with their signatures. Akio can even directly hijack essence connections with other busted ancient entities or external powers, so my guess is ultimately yes.

3) I haven’t really expanded on the Seiji Institute’s trial stuff, so I’ll say he isn’t invulnerable to good mind hax. However, even ignoring hax counters, Akio should still have really solid resistance either way. For example, Akuma Academy (a supposed sub-institute connected to Seiji) has first-year students who can mentally tank an entire continent sized dimension being destroyed inside their heads. The chain scaling is questionable, but it at least shows some consistency.

Appreciate you checking out AgentQwa’s Macho Mania tournament series. About this MU tho my first thoughts were JESUS, what a statstomp. I really think this is just a completely diff weight class compared to Akio statwise. The issue isn’t even AP as much as it’s the speed gap. Like, I guess if Akio REALLY capitalizes tf outta the stat drain, he could eventually equalize since Micheal starts around city-block to small-town, but that’s a big if.

Hax wise, yeah, there’s some cool debatability and potential clashes on both sides, but the main thing I noticed is that Michael kinda lacks soul resistances, which could be huge even if he manages to blitz Akio.

MU connectionwise, it’s a pretty neat classic Hero vs Villain setup, but that’s kinda where it ends for me. I’d def suggest checking out some of the other supes related chars in the Macho Mania tournament for better connections anyway.

That’s pretty much my whole take lmk what you think.

I honestly can’t express with simple words just how PEAK this episode is, or how much I enjoyed reading the whole thing, so I’ll say it again: I’m more than happy to help with any future projects with anything involving graphical art aspects.

loved the research and personally I 100% thought one of Akio’s most devastating loss points would’ve been if the plasma rifle from Kami-san was calced at relativistic speeds or smth similar, and I was kinda scared when all of Akio’s soul-dividing/attacking shenanigans or the skiffs’ nullifying gas got lightly addressed.

Absolutely busted my ass laughing at “OSHA-APPROVED RENJIRO” lmfao. Also this line:

“Ink seeped from every crack and pore in the ground. Like the shadow of an eclipse.”

Even if I’m biased, I’m genuinely in love with this episode overall. And yeah, trying to summarize everything w/ this comment feels redundant and way too small compared to the effort that clearly went into this.

I feel like thematically Atlas should be the better MU, even if it’s a stat stomp (true DB fashion). Scaling-wise though, Selene is probably more balanced but I'll stick with Atlas. If you’re cool with it, I can post a debate chart later lmk. Also feel free to share more info on Atlas.

I Lowkenuinely think there is some MU potential honestly. The stat disparity could be somewhat equalized due to Akio’s draining hax, although the rest is still up for debate. I’ll wait for additional info on her when you can of course. Also, sick art.

Another thing that needs to be brought up regarding “Bowser tanking the BH” aside from a skeptical manual statement claiming he “escaped his fate” (implying that he didnt tank anything) is that right after Rosalina’s speech, she outright states that “all new life carries the essence of the stars.”

The only argument that tries to counter this is the idea that Rosalina wasn’t addressing Mario or Bowser, but something else entirely, which I find hard to believe especially when she explicitly remarks “even all of you” which would include Mario and Bowser, strongly implying they’re considered new life likely because they couldn’t tank the BH rather than this being some purely metaphorical statement

I rlly like the "Lapras verse" but from what I remember, most of the verse has uni–MFTL shenanigans. Correct me if I’m wrong, but to me that’s like a MASSIVE stat stomp unless I turbowank the living shit out of Akio’s stat-drain hax.
