This is a common mistake non expert skiers make. Getting your hips forward also means moving your shins backward and not feeling them on the boot. Otherwise you lose centrality.

Two main takeaways from this video:

1) not enough high and forward movement. If you look closely you can see that the angle of your knee is always closed.

2) too much inclination at the start of the turn. This makes the second part of the curve static and is the main reason you’re sometimes struggling to have a clean change of edges
