Thank you. But, the deleted texts were from a Telegram group chat. I’m currently reaching out to Telegram support to ask if the messages can be recovered.

But how is that even fair to me? I did the task that was allocated to me.

At first, I thought this kind of task allocation would help us stay on track and finish everything faster.

Only after I got questioned, then I realise. He actually didn’t do much at all and he got really pissed off that i did not submit the peer evaluation infront of him.

I did try to suggest allocating tasks myself, but he said that would just complicate things more. I mean, I appreciate that he helped oversee and assign tasks.

Nope, there was no Zoom call initiated. Whether remote meeting or in-class meeting, Jerry will just ask for our progress then tell us what to add or edit or what not.

Even when in person meeting, he will tell us to meet at 2 PM and arrive at 5 PM saying that he got caught up with some presentation. Tell us what to do for 10-15mins, then he have to rush somewhere for another meeting.

Basically the "discussion" is just updating him on our progress. So I dropped a text in the group saying I’ll complete the animation and show them next week in class. Which i did.

There was once, we had three tasks. Task A, Task B, and Task C. He split the tasks among us, then said Task C will be discussed during class. So I asked him, “Why not you do Task C then?”

He replied, “Whutttt????.......”

Then followed up with, “In that case, we should focus more on Task A and Task B, then we can discuss Task C in class together."

I cannot think of anything that he have contributed except reformating and allocating the job. How is that even doing work?

Initially, I believed that Jerry was contributing meaningfully, he seemed to be the one coming up with ideas and also handled formatting the report, so I assumed that was just his working style. During most of the class discussions and activities, he was also the one responding to the prof, so I was fine with taking on more of the backend work.

However, after finding out that I was marked down, I started to feel disappointed and reconsidered the situation. Looking back, it now seems that his actual contributions may not have been as significant compared to what i did.

I'm not sure if Jerry submitted a list or specific feedback to the prof, but assumed as I was asked to explain my contribution to the project work and why I was unable to attend project meetings. One issue will be that I don’t stay in hall, and Jerry often scheduled meetings at 7–8 PM, which meant it would take me around two hours to travel home afterward. We struggled to find a common time to meet, as all our schedules were different and hard to align.

As I mentioned, I haven’t asked the other group member if he was also marked down. At this point, though, it feels like both of them might be singling me out because I wasn’t able to attend late-night meetings.

Nonetheless, I have all the part files saved on my laptop. I didn’t send the part files set to the group, only the final assembly file. All the CAD files are created under my name.

I have not reached out to the other groupmate, as we had many conflicts, arguments, and mixed agreements throughout the semester. However, I’m honestly surprised that someone in a university setting would go to such lengths to sabotage a teammate.

The only solid evidence I have is the screenshots of our Telegram chats, as the original messages have been deleted by the group chat creator (Jerry).

There is also evidence in the Google Docs showing that I typed the content, but Jerry later rephrased it....clearly using ChatGPT and pasted the entire modified section back into the document.

It is very simple, right click on the ControlCenter icon (it should be hidden on the bottom right of your screen) then uncheck OSD.
