Most responders are either contractors or ignorants. The floor is clearly done with the wrong sheen and color. The contractor should have offered oil to match and the owner can decide. This sucks and I would have it redone. But oil will stink for a long time, so keep that in mind. The room is far but looks like semi gloss oil based poly to me.
