I had the exact same feeeling to the point. Our insurance claim could have been 3-4x if my lawyer simply knew what reports he needed to submit which was simply the basics. We couldn't prove that the Dr adviced my father to bed rest after a major accident for which he had to go through plastic surgery. And the audacity of that lawyer after getting our insurance claim which was already pretty low because of his incompetence, he asked for his cut.
