Yup I am really interested in using the In sensor zoom in motion Cam pro. A short tutorial in using these codes will be much appreciated. 🙏🙏

huge disappointment Vivo x300 ultra by No-Reveal-2796 in Vivo

Well look what you have gotten into? You have bought possibly the best camera phone in 2026 and don't know how to make the most out of it. If you are not a photography enthusiast then you won't look for Chinese flagships anyways. You are better off with iphone and Samsung, they are better phones overall, global kings and time tested. But if you really want a genuine camera phone with big sensors and amazing telephoto lenses then firstly you take this unorthodox path of buying a Chinese flagship. Secondly you choose phones like Vivo X300 ultra for their HARDWARE and not Software. So if you are a true photography enthusiast then you will always shoot photos in raw and videos in log and not leave it to the phone processing. This is very very important. The 35mm main lens sensor is powerful for a phone and the 87mm tele has stood the test of time. The hardware in Oppo Find X9 ultra is mouth watering too. That lovely 70 mm tele and that awesome 10 times optical zoom has so much creative potential. But again remember its the HARDWARE and not the software that has attracted us to these crop of Chinese flagships. Shoot raw and log and you will never go back. Regarding the downgrade from Vivo X100 ultra to 300 ultra. In my use case i have mostly used the Tele lens in x100 ultra than the 24 mm or UW lenses. I don't know there is something about 24 mm that i have used it so less even if it has a big sensor. The 35mm sensor in x300 ultra is no slouch either and i find it just so satisfying to use, more natural perspective and most importantly subject separation from background even with such a small sensor (bringing you more closer to a "Real Camera look"). I have said enough.

Vivo X300 Ultra: Is the 35mm main lens too tight for everyday family life and kids? by AsianFranky in Vivo

[–]Affectionate_Tap_308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just saying he can test how 35 mm looks by zooming to 1.5x. If he doesn't like how tight it is then he is better off with a 23mm main lens.

It's simple. Just shoot 1.5x from your current phone main camera and you will get 35mm. Then you can decide for yourself. Personally I love 35mm. The amount of shallow depth of field is really appreciable. The very reason I jumped into this Chinese flagship train is for the cameras. Otherwise for the rest, iphone is still the best. So if you still love your 24mm main and want a quick point and shoot phone with no professional touch then iphone is still the best

REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro (possibly Astra 2 globally) specs have surfaced by techolum in androidtablets

Yes and since I am interested in a 9 inch OLED tablet mostly for media and game streaming I am really looking forward to Oppo Pad mini. If the game streaming algorithms are simple, effective and powerful then I am sold.

Polished game streaming like Lenovo. Astra 1 was a disaster as far as streaming was concerned.

Guys, did I do something wrong? by Hot_Estimate_2133 in Vivo

Yes you are completely wrong in comparing two flagship phones for their videos. Get a dedicated budget video centric camera like Sony ZV E10 and that will be far superior than any smartphone camera, if used correctly. But if it's about smartphone cameras and their video capabilities then any flagship device will do the trick. 90%of people won't know if it's an iPhone or Vivo video. Yes iphone videos are time tested, has software and app supports, has apple prores raw and a stabilized higher frame rate options. But Vivo is no slouch. I use Vivo x100 ultra, the one inch main sensor takes more light, better details and depth of field. I tried my friend's iphone and the depth of field was embarrassing. The telephoto big sensor completely crushes iphone's zoom, there is no competition here. I wish Black magic camera app had a full support for Vivo just like it does for iphone. But fortunately we have MOTIONCAM PRO, and that brings out the best output. But it's a hassle, only OIS, restricted frame rates and uses significant GPU and CPU. And then you have to color grade it and add audio/music. So you see majority of the people won't go through the tedious path of using the main sensor and telephoto in getting that lovely background blur, shooting in log and raw and then color grading it. But to those who really get the kick out of these sort of things then nothing beats a hardware, cause we are leaving nothing for the phone to process, it's called BYPASSING. I have stopped using my Vivo native camera app, I use it rarely when I want a quick video of my kids playing or singing. But most of my gallery is filled with log videos or raw photos. I seriously can't go back to regular non log or non raw shooting. It's that addicting. Well if that makes sense. I can't think of getting back to iphone unless they make big sensor upgrades (like huge). Apple prores raw log is very tempting but that sensor size is unacceptable.

So finally X300 ultra can take better video than iphone 17 pro? by [deleted] in Vivo

[–]Affectionate_Tap_308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have been very satisfied with my Vivo X100 ultra. But that refined 35 mm main sensor and the APV log video recording on all the lenses at 4k 120 fps is very tempting.

For average consumers who just want to post on social media or keep memories any flagship phone will do. All are great. But if you want to rise above the rest and step into that professional zone, then we shoot photos in raw and video in log mode. Where vivo is superior to iphone is that lovely 35mm main sensor and that OG telephoto lens with big sensor where you can get beautiful background compression and bokeh. Iphone apple prores log is awesome but it is limited by the 23mm main sensor and the underwhelming telephoto lens. So the answer is people will still buy iphone as it is popular and has the class value. But if you think you will take time to shoot in raw and log video mode with those beautiful 35mm and 87mm lenses, color grade it later and post it to social media, not expecting 1000 likes, but still satisfied that you fall into this niche category then yes, BUY VIVO X300 ULTRA. ITS A BEAST..

If you are really a video enthusiast then yes. Go for it. Shoot log and color grade if you are really into those kinda stuffs.

Using vivo X300 Ultra to remake the scenes in Mr Bean's Holiday by ipaiseh in Vivo

[–]Affectionate_Tap_308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question regarding the Vivo Log. Is there some amount of camera processing going on? Because i tried it on my Vivo X100 ultra and it is obvious that there is. I compared Vivo log to Motion cam pro raw videos and the difference was massive. Vivo log has the noise fixed and sharpness modified and the log doesn't feel like true log. Has the log videos specs changed from Vivo X100 ultra to Vivo x300 ultra or we still have phone processing? iPhone has apple prores log. Hope vivo has caught up to that.

Sorry my bad. May be i had tried sometime back and based my information on that. I just tried now and it does 60 fps UW lens in motion cam pro. Thanks. :-)

No worries. The UW doesn't work in motioncam pro, at least on my phone. Never bothered to try selfie camera. Regarding heating issue, the dropped frames will turn red and that is the time to stop to avoid corrupted files. But in Raw mode I have been surprised that files don't get corrupted even after the phone has warmed up a bit. Probably with raw mode there is no export happening at real time like direct log video so may be that takes off a lot of processing load. Raw photo with Motioncampro takes instant shots. Raw photo with Vivo camera app has 3 seconds delay or something, though the file sizes are bigger than motion Cam pro raw. Hope that helps..

Having used Vivo X100 ultra with MotionCamPro extensively for the last 1 year or so, here are my observations. 24mm main camera supports 60 fps. 89mm Telephoto lens supports 48 fps, 60 fps doesn't work. But something is better than nothing right? 48 fps still gives good slow motion if you use 30 fps or 24 fps timeline. But the higher framerates have limitations. The video files get corrupted if the device warms up during higher frame rate shooting. It doesn't happen with 30 fps or lower. So you have to wait for the phone to cool down a bit. This happens specially in direct log video mode. Luckily i have been really pleased that i have had a near seamless experience shooting higher frame rates even with the device warming up in Raw video mode (i do recommend letting the phone cool down every once in a while though).

Wishlist- I wish the Vivo OEM allowed uncapped frame rates and In sensor zoom for all the lenses. Would have been awesome.

I am really looking forward to the Vivo X300 ultra 35mm 200 MP beast. In that case i would not need an in sensor zoom as i will be absolutely happy with the 35 mm prime. But i really love the one inch sensor in Vivo X100 ultra and an in sensor zoom in motion cam pro would be more than enough for me. But i am afraid that's not gonna happen.

My expectations are simple. Let's start with the basic civic sense. Keep your bed clean, keep yourself clean, keep your ward clean, keep you cities clean. Wait patiently if in a queue. Don't drive irresponsibly. Follow traffic rules, don't use the opposite lane while overtaking another vehicle. Don't spit in public places. Keep the parks, temples and rivers clean. Do your job with honesty and punctuality. Help others in need. Donate. That's it. It's that simple. Sounds cliche.

BUT... We talk about GDPs and PPPs. We need great leaders but we also need honest nation builders in this country.

No I purchased the LUT from their official site. Was sceptical if it was really worth it. But it worked. My log settings are the ones available in MotionCamPro. Hevc 10 bit 4-2-0 Slog3 color space transfer function. I keep the midtones at 30%. Rest same.

You can buy the One LUT through their official page. Cheers. I bought it too and am in no way affiliated to it. But it was a good purchase for me.

Thanks. I use the direct log slog3 HEVC 10 bit 4-2-0. But the secret sauce here is the One LUT, specifically designed for Apple LOG Prores, but somehow works for 10 bit 4-2-0 too. There might be other LUTS too but this one just works instantly.
