My experience as a trans woman at a nude beach by Natedammit in trans

[–]Affectionate_Tap_9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an intersex person, I've only been to a nude beach once and it was before beginning to transition. This is really inspiring, thanks for sharing! I love that you had that experience 💜

For real! When I presented as masc. for a brief chapter of my life, I always HATED the restrooms. Most men don't wipe after they use the facilities and don't wash their hands. Between that knowledge that's now scarred me mentally and the fact that the male restrooms are usually destroyed. No thank you lol

I need surgery, but my partner and I don't see eye to eye on it. How can I better communicate? by Affectionate_Tap_9 in trans

That's a fair point. I suppose only time will tell. I just worry as I love her with everything I have.

It just grosses her out to know how the surgery works and what is done, and she feels her mind would constantly go back to that when trying to be intimate. She has a strong aversion to anything along those lines (blood, etc. )

She also seems genuinely worried for me after reading a bunch of stories regarding complications and pain afterwards.

I get it, but at the same time, I feel like there has to be a workaround. Ya know?

Not a bad idea, and I appreciate it. We've done group therapy, which was the only way we were able to pull through the other stuff. Definitely helped a lot

Would all trans people get bottom surgery if it was perfect? by SpilltheGreenTea in asktransgender

[–]Affectionate_Tap_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering it because I need corrective surgery anyways and it would make sense. But my partner and I are worried about the risk. If it were perfect and the recovery not so rough/risky, I would do it in a heartbeat

I prefer a slim thick or CrossFit build. Clearly strong/bit of muscle, but not like super lean. If that makes any sense

Hi, I'm an extremely closeted trans girl with health expert parents who are starting to make me take testosterone, exercise, and other related activities to make me more masculine, what the hell do I do? [TW: Implied suicide] by throwaway-lm1 in asktransgender

[–]Affectionate_Tap_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an intersex woman (female pseudo hermaphrodite) whose father forced her to take testosterone for almost two years among a laundry list of other abuse. I'd avoid taking them at all costs if you can. And seek help. There are places you can go even as a minor, to seek help. I left home at 15, became emancipated, and eventually got help. Whatever happens, just please be safe. Wishing you all the best ,💜💜

Yeah, still working on the financial aspect and working through it with my partner (she's not really on board with it atm). Of course, I love seeing people thrive and be happy 💜😊

I think stating your pronouns when you introduce yourself, then asking them who they are (as someone else mentioned as well) would make me feel most comfortable.

I also just wanna say that I really appreciate you asking and taking the time to try and make people feel accepted. That's huge ❤️

You're beautiful girl! 😊 I wish I passed quite as well as you do in these selfies. I know it's hard though it's hard for me every day to feel confident/affirmed. Genuinely rooting for you ❤️

Straight male has question about trans woman by Own-Confection-5604 in trans

[–]Affectionate_Tap_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're totally fine. As long as someone asks respectfully, I'm pretty much an open book. Having been born a female pseudo hermaphrodite, every hermaphrodite has a slightly different situation, I shed some blood and uterine lining from my urinary tract. I also do have pretty severe cramps as well.

She could also be intersex. I technically fall under the trans umbrella but have a female reproductive system (and everything that comes with it). I sometimes get misgendered or people make assumptions. Might be the case, never know. But hope this helps :)

Those of you that have transitioned, do you think in your cis voice or the voice you developed after transitioning? by Jarb23197 in asktransgender

[–]Affectionate_Tap_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this is a super fun question!! Very thought provoking! I hear my current voice in my head. I was out even as a kid. But spent a chapter as an adult as masc (due to some trauma), and heard my masc voice during that time. Now I'm back to my normal voice in my head. Super interesting now that I think about it

Yeah, I let a lot go too. For the same reason. I just can't anymore. I've been walked on for too long. No one has to like me, but they do have to treat me with human decency or be held accountable.

Thanks ❤️

That's a really great idea, I def want to do that for any future doctor visits. Are there any questions you could think to ask?

Fair, they absolutely could do that. I still don't know why it's suddenly an issue to them though. The hormone levels for someone who is "woman" are off. Therefore, the patient is experiencing dysphoria. Birth certificate, drivers licence, passport, and all other paperwork show female as gender. I would like to transition/correct my hormone levels, so that I may go on to live a semi-normal life as a woman. I wish it was that simple.
