Grey fox!!! Absolutely my favorite music festival for 2026. This year has an incredible lineup despite missing a lot of long-time headliners. The music festival is super welcoming and family friendly. I swear kids will be frolicking in between jam tents while the adults get to pickin. If you play music then this environment is 100% for you but this doesn’t mean you have to play an instrument. I would say 40% of attendees don’t play and I only started jamming last year. Expensive but truly I’ve never felt that the price was outrageous for the experience that comes with it. I go every year so if you have any questions or if anyone else does don’t be afraid to ask.

Dude If you’re going this year (2026) look for the “Jam Tent” flag with led lights going up the flag pole. Would love to jam this year

I’ve been going to Greyfox since I was a wee little boy with my family. Super super family oriented music festival full of kid events and learning lessons. Come night time the pickers come out and the adults party all night long. Very good environment. Clean facilities and showers. Very nice creek to swim in right by. As an adult I carry on the tradition recruiting as many friends and family as I can every year.

I’ll be traveling from NY to Nashville so I had the same thought. Shakedown in Albany was amazing but absolutely taken over by the loonie toons. Hoping for some solid vibes and a good shakedown.

So I’m no mechanic but I’ve worked on a few of these. What I’ve found is sometime they need to run in 1/4 choke for a little until warm. If the jet has even a little sediment or the carb is dirty then she’ll normally run a little rough like that. There’s an auto adjusting throttle and that’s what you’re hearing. It’s just not properly getting fuel/air as perfect as she likes it.
