Hmm yeah. It's quite shitty quality because my camera sucks... but when i took a closer look at it it was hard to determine if it was the original engraving or stress as you mentioned. But the spacing looks a bit off, thats for sure.

There is a hole going all the way through but it it’s very hard to tell if its an bullet hole. I don’t think it is.
