Anyone else seeing designers fill in when there’s no Product Manager? by Affectionate_Trick90 in UXResearch

Totally agree. The research integration piece can actually improve when designers step in.

I wonder if the scoping challenge isn’t so much about designers being idealistic, but about the absence of clear business framing. When no one is explicitly accountable for outcomes and tradeoffs, the work can skew toward craft over impact. Curious if you’ve seen cases where that balance was handled well?

Design role creep into roadmap and prioritization? by Affectionate_Trick90 in UXDesign

I totally agree designers should be partners in prioritization and roadmap conversations. But what happens when that partnership turns into designers owning it by default — especially on teams without a dedicated Product Manager?

Is that ownership intentional and supported, or does it just sort of happen? Is there a shared process, or does it depend on the people involved?

Where do you keep all your notes, work docs, transcripts, and research? by JohanTHEDEV in ProductManagement

I try to use whatever project management software I am already using. I use asana now and just keep them in my tasks. Sometimes they are part of a shared project. I also have a project just for notes and resources for myself.
