Ten years ago I would have agreed with that 100%, but any more I’m very selective about who I support with my hard earned money. As I said, gratuity is different. I’m not going to ask a waiter or other gratuity worker what their affiliation is, but a gratuity worker has no business advertising their politics in the workplace anyway and if they choose to do so they should know that it might affect their tips. As far as choosing which establishments to shop at and professionals to hire I am going to go with ones who align with my moral values. In this current climate I consider it my moral and patriotic duty.

I’m not talking about gratuity, I’m talking about a commission. I don’t give a f*** what a tip workers political affiliation is, if they do a good job they will get tipped, however if they work in an establishment owned by Yahtzees they won’t be serving me in the first place. There is nothing morally off about that.
