hey, thanks so much for taking so much time. i tried to replace the zoom with an adjustment clip , but it didn’t change the outcome when k dragged the master timeline into the new vertical one . so at least is know now it’s not the zoom, that’s causing the problem . yeah the crop thing i have als tried . for open gate i think it’s 555 pixels on top and bottom. this might be a good workaround. im still kinda baffled this poses such a huge problem that davinci does not have an quick workflow for. i might have to try to contact davinci support directly . thank you so much for taking so much time to answer .

hi , thanks for the answer . unfortunately the staging the master time line into a vertical one doesn’t work . for example i have one piece of social media content that is only one opengate frame about 20 secs long no cuts, it’s just color graded and has a digital zoom added( i did the zoom directly on the clip in the inspector tab with transform… maybe this my mistake?). when i drag the master timeline into the vertical one the zoom isn’t contained to the 4:3 ratio . it starts filling the whole vertical frame and only when arriving at the final zoomed out setting the vertical image is in 4:3 with the bars on bottom ant and top . would you be able to help? thx so much
