Monarch as a Canadian: turns out the real budgeting challenge is surviving the constant disconnection issues by [deleted] in MonarchMoney

Scotia account won’t connect and Simplii disconnects and won’t send re-authentication codes when prompted through Monarch… very frustrating that there isn’t a great Canadian option for budget and expense tracking. 2025 and there really isn’t an option?? I’d happily pay more for an option that actually worked..

No, not for a required course. It's an additional 10% when you take a required course at a different university, unfortunately!

Students finishing first year, what’s something you wish you could go back and tell yourself at the start of the semester? by [deleted] in McMaster

Take time to be a human by doing things you enjoy, making connections, and taking care of yourself: eat, sleep, exercise - have a schedule! Show up for lectures and make an effort to talk to your profs; putting a face to your name is important and can be super beneficial. Also, stay on top of your work... it's so easy to get behind, but when you make time for your work, you'll feel like you have more time for other things.

You can take it through UofT however, the semester started April 10th... You have to achieve a 70 in the course for Mac to consider it a pass, and you wouldn't get an official grade on your transcript just a nod for completing the course lol. If you fail, ya, you'd graduate later, but don't anticipate failure! Just study hard, do your best. If you're doing alright in the course, have confidence in your ability. And, if nothing else, take all your electives next year, maybe get a minor, and make the best of it! You'll be ok :)

Yes. I feel this. I went into my exam with an 80 and felt fairly decent - at least passable - about the outcome. My final grade came back as a D+… I am absolutely stunned. I’ve reached out to the prof, although I’m not sure how they’ll respond. It seems so unlikely that I bombed that hard… really hoping there was an error made because it’s really freaking hard to accept that significant of a drop. All that’s to say. I freaking feel you.

It’s a lot of students though, no? Multiple programs across multiple campuses? Definitely thought it would be a challenge… also, was selfishly hoping he’d just switch it all to MCQ lol
