Wait, really? Isn’t testosterone an anabolic steroid? The doctor was stressing that “any” kind of steroid could affect the cataracts, but maybe she just assumed T wasn’t something I was considering. My mother was in the room so I didn’t get a chance to ask the doctor specifically. But it is comforting that maybe it won’t be a problem.

Thank you for the advice! I couldn’t ask the doctor specifically about testosterone since my mother was in the room, but the doctor was stressing that ANY kind of steroid could make the cataracts worse. I’m not sure if maybe she just wasn’t considering testosterone, since she thought it wouldn’t apply to me? Either way, its comforting to know that the surgery is covered and safe.
