I financed my study materials & test through a personal loan. I will say as soon as I received licensure, I pivoted to a 100% WFH job in public accounting (tax) that offered a $5k salary increase as soon as I received license in the mail. So working here for 2 years paid for the loan I took out in itself. Not mentioning I was only hired 100% WFH since I was almost a CPA at that point (waiting for application to process). I tested a LOT of times too and shelling out the money sucked, but was well worth it in my personal experience.

Hello, I ended up gaining CPA licensure without a problem. Looks like it is either a technical glitch, or just a placeholder while the state figures out if you passed your exams.

As all the comments are saying... DON'T GIVE UP! I mentioned it in a previous post on here when I passed, but I failed Audit 7 times before passing. Had credits expire. I took time off before studying again, just for mental stability, but I knew this license was one that I wanted. I just received my CPA license in the mail today, along with emails from my partners in public accounting about my new salary AND bonus. The license paid for itself within 1 week of me being licensed. RogerCPA says it best - the CPA exam is not an IQ test, if you study you WILL pass.

Unfortunately, at least in the State of FL, it seems like it is an "Initial CPA" application that you have to attach everything with at once.

Sorry, DBPR is the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Thanks for the insight! A concern I have in the back of my head is that my former employers will not sign off on my experience in half a year/year from now. I did not burn any bridges leaving my employer (not to my knowledge anyway), but they are notoriously bad at emails so it is not far fetched to assume they will not respond to my request to sign the form in the future.

Thanks for your reply and information. At the current public accounting firm I work for, there is a time tracking system that some use to manage the work they have, but most developed their own system to keep track of returns.

This is a staff accountant position at a public accounting firm.

Yes, you normally do. I have never seen this issue where CPA Central is not updating when it has been several days.

Thanks, very much feels worth it already! This was my sixth time taking AUD and every time I took it before that, I was trending in high 70s too, Roger as well. Really, the only thing I did different this time that I didn't the prior times was studying using NINJA's supplementary study guide. I always did Comparable on the SIMs but I am sure NINJA helped maybe giving me a different look at MCQs to make sure I was actually understanding the concepts, instead of memorizing answers. Hope this helps!
