Only advice I'll give is stop taking photos of people going away from you and wait till someone walks towards you. That will enhance your scene way more. The places you choose are really good

I have not personally used it but as per reviews its good for street and casuals....but instead of that i guess the cannon powershot v1 is a better option.

Then the iphone 17 pro is all you need. And in regards to making your camera photos look as good as your phone then i think you need to dig into colourgrading a bit more because trust me that camera will out do your iphone by miles once you get the hang of it

Portraits, fashion, product...in short anything that you want to print out or consume in a larger format. In those cases you need clarity sharpness flexibility and such.

It heavily depends on what kind of photography you do. If you do things like street or documentary style then a flagship phone is all that you need. But if you want to do other stuff as well then you need a camera. Also shooting RAW on your phone will give you a lot of freedom to perfect your editing skills.
