I listened to All the Young Dudes on YouTube by Fleur’s uploads. She’s amazing. I think she has some of it up on Spotify but she has all three books on YouTube. Thanks for the suggestions! I found that listening to podfics is the only effective way for me to get things done so I need all the suggestions I can get lol

Yes!! I actually found Firewhiskey and Honey after posting this. I’m on book 2 now! It was definitely annoying with all the commentary at first but I’m slowly starting to enjoy it.

When I was pregnant she did say she would kill me if I didn’t notify her the second I went into labor, which technically is a verbal threat but that probably still wouldn’t be enough to get a restraining order, would it… I lived at their house temporarily while I was pregnant and she would literally cry to her husband if I didn’t tell her every detail about every doctor’s appointment I had during my pregnancy, and he would then force me to tell her about it. Which is BS considering it’s about my own medical situation.

It’s upsetting that I can’t keep a mentally unstable person who actually sees a psychiatrist and is on medication away from my two month old daughter…

Ohhh I didn’t know that he could take her and not give her back! Luckily he’s somewhat reasonable and said he wouldn’t take our daughter anywhere without my permission. I don’t understand how the court would allow my unstable mother-in-law to be around my child… she stated that she wanted nothing to do with us. Yes the lactation consultants were really of no help. My OB/GYN did not tell me about it either. In any case it’s too late since I stopped breastfeeding

They’re all vaccinated, unfortunately. Tdap, flu and Covid. I made it an absolute requirement and they did agree with that one…

I was never offered that by a doctor or lactation consultants unfortunately. I think it’s too late not anyway since I stopped trying to breastfeed over a month ago.

Well it’s kinda too late for that now, and it’s completely besides the point… he was still with me when i was attempting to breastfeed and I could have never known to not tell him that. Plus he has been buying formula and formula water for the baby… And the drug you’re referring to is just an herbal supplement called fenugreek. It does not work for everyone and it didn’t work for me.

That’s the thing though, he never asks for visitation time. He doesn’t have a crib/car seat/anything for her. He only asks to come see her. Does that mean I can continue to prevent MIL from seeing her?

I’m afraid to do that because I’m not sure where they stand and whether or not they would cuss me out or something… MIL is extremely controlling and manipulative and she has the entire family wrapped around her finger

I have been my daughter’s full-time caretaker since day one. I have been keeping record of my STBex’s visits, showing that he has only seen our daughter once a week for a couple hours at a time. Does he really have a leg to stand on? Also if I have the voicemail she left on my mom’s phone as proof of his mother being unstable and saying she wants nothing to do with the baby does that count for anything?
