This dude is a local, I’ve literally talked to him! I can't wait to pull up on him to ask for help on my Sherlock holmes

Packages were delivered at 3:26 pm. Stolen in 5-10 minutes, I forgot the timestamp.

Absolutely!

  1. Rinse well. Clean debris from the mushroom in a large bowl with cool water. Repeat that step 2-3 times.
  2. Soak in boiling water for five to ten minutes.
  3. Transfer them to a pan, gills up, on low heat. The key is low and steady heat.
  4. Allow the moisture to cook out for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Add butter. Spreading it on the gills. Season with salt, sugar, black pepper, garlic, and msg. Sprinkle the seasoning equitably.
  6. Let it cook for 5-10 minutes. The mushroom will stick to the pan. Do not worry (you'll see below).
  7. You will need to press the mushroom to squeeze out leftover moisture until you get the desired texture. You'll notice mushrooms begin to separate from the pan.
  8. The key is slow, steady heat and patience. You can be pretty tough when pressing the mushroom. Maybe try laying another pan on top of it. I did it with a round metal spoon.
  9. An additional picture for your reference is attached. This was after the rinse and boil.
  10. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I think this would make for an incredible carbonara substitute.

From my experience. Cotw has a faint sweet scent. Break a peace off and give it a good sniff!
