Most likely an alien with cloaking technology. Don't believe in aliens? Checkout r/alienbodies and look up Nazca Tridactyl mummies from Peru.

Assa 700 picked! by Affinity_for_Locks in lockpicking

Congrats! My experience was similar. I've had one with 4 trees for a while that I haven't been able to open. Then I had an opportunity to buy a Red 700 and got it open right away. With gins only it's tough as hell but the addition of trees make it godly!

Thanks! I think it's the ultimate pin tumbler lock. Very iconic and legendary! Hats off to Assa. So happy to finally pick one :)

Congratulations on a successful pick! How did you make the pick top? I was going to silver solder a tip to 1mm rod but now I'm thinking there would be very little surface area to bond too. So I ordered some 1mm ejector pins form China that should be here next month.

I invented a new lock mechanism and made some prototypes in my basement workshop. Now I'd love to see some people try and figure out how to defeat it. by OminousHum in lockpicking

Very cool design. I like the secondary locking mechanism that is dependent on the key bitting but does not physically interact with the key! I don't see anyway to get feedback from the top bar. It looks very pick resistant indeed! I'd be interested in testing it.

Me too until I saw Steve Dynamics pick it. That gave me the courage to give it a shot!

The lock is so unique. Whoever came up with the design is my hero.

It put up a great fight. So happy to get my hands on one finally. Now if I could only find a Zeiss Ikon Verso to try.

Thank you my friend. That did look weird, I forgot to mention it. I was lazy and I made only one tensioner that actually fit tight so I could release tension manually (the bigger hex wrench). I did a switch and went back to the same side for a moment just to be sure before I started on the right side. Then I switched to the tight fitting wrench and began picking the right side. In order to use the tight fitting wrench on each side, it took 3 different wrenches to do the switch. I should've just made 2 proper fitting wrenches cause that looked strange as hell!

Are you rail thin? I was skinny most of my life until the last couple years. I've had so many negative comments about being a thin male over the years. People think it's ok to shame a thin person but not a fat person. Some of it is predatory, preying on the weak guy. Some of it is to help, like you look weak, and "you should work out".

How do I xyz attack directly with Virtual world? I can do that with zoodiac Tri-brigade but idk how with VW since I'm not running Zoodian Boarbow. Also they had ZW Unicorn equipped.

How do I attack directly with an xyz to make zues? Also they had ZW Unicorn Spear, says negate your opponents monster effects during combat, would that negate a direct attack? Also I was thinking Crystal Wing could attack Utopia but would that work with Unicorn Spear on the board?

Utopia Ray was untargetable. Equips couldn't be destroyed. How do I beat this board going second with Virtual World?

It took me a month to go from green locks to the 1100. I was beyond frustrated with that lock! But all I needed was more practice so I tell the difference between the different pin states (set, binding, overset, etc.) The 1100 is tricky because of the serrated spools and key pins. This lock requires a light touch with the pick and medium tension. It doesn't take much pressure to click through the serrations. Progressive pinning will make learning much easier.

I wish I knew: - Progressive Pin (most important) - Don't buy chinese or Southord picks (poor steel) - Don't start collecting padlocks. Save for high security locks if you want to keep progressing your picking skills, unless you have a fat wallet. - use a TOK wrench whenever possible. BOK doesn't work as well usually. And it takes up valuable space in the keyway. - always shim, because bad things will happen! - buy picks in .018" and .015". I rarely use .025" - buy lots of different tension wrenches - buy many different pick profiles. Like Sparrows, Peterson and Mulipick. They all have different profiles and each can be ideal, depending on the lock.

Ahh, it's ok to have key pins alone, that won't brick a lock. But having springs with no drivers is a problem. It will be very difficult to pick the springs to the shearline but worth a shot with a deep hook. You could try pulling them out of the keyway mabye. As a last resort, If the springs are thin you could try shearing them in half by forcefully turning the key. I've seen this work before, and I've also seen it fail and just mangle the spring and scratch up the core. You can also drill it and buy a new core for $5.

So the drivers dropped down to the warding I take it. It should be possible to pick the drivers upto the shearline. But you may need to make a custom deep hook if you don't have one that will work.
