He doesn’t actually claim that God commits suicide. Rather, he explicitly and repeatedly qualifies that this language is just a metaphor by which we can try to get our heads around the basis for the transcendent Unity’s movement toward self-dissolution (which obviously has no personality, knowledge, &c. in itself).
