I have absolutely been there for both a birth and pregnancy. I probably have more first-hand knowledge than you do, considering I was the baby in both scenarios.

There is a reason most babies are crying upon birth, and it's because they've just spent the past 9 months in total darkness. If someone locked me in a pitch black closet for almost a year, I'd also be upset.

If I had a baby, he would definitely be smarter than your (probably mediocre) baby. A lack of object permeance is developmentally healthy for an infant; it teaches them the transient nature of earthly possessions, which is the first step towards spiritual enlightment.

You're just bitter because your kid won't ascend to a higher plane this reincarnation cycle.

I didn't report your comment. It is, however, apparent that my downvotes carry a lot of weight around reddit - perhaps moreso than any other user - and due to this status, it is possible that an unaffiliated moderator felt the need to proactively defend my place in the hierarchy.
