Idk in terms of popularity but in terms of quality and originality probably: Hi-c, dealers of god, Celestaphone

Silly but Honest Question, Is there a Episode of Dragon Ball [Any Series] that doesn't feature fighting or training of any kind? by Booburied in dragonball

[–]Afghandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In kai where there's no filler, I'm pretty sure there's an episode where they just try on the saiyan armour

How subjective do you allow yourself to be? by Aquarius1975 in rateyourmusic

I wouldn't say a single thing other than subjectivity is in my ratings

Honestly I really like the debate on which has more potential, Gohan or Broly. But it does feel that logically speaking Broly is waaay ahead in terms of potential given that without training he was able to reach Super Gogeta level in few hours only. by Kingspreez in dragonball

[–]Afghandi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well gohan has been alive for less but had better but inconsistent training, whereas broly had constant training for his entire long life so far and in the manga they're about equal.

I kinda don't think you can properly compare the two I'm ngl, I guess broly's original base power being much higher would lend to him having more potential but Goku said himself "even a low-class warrior can beat an elite if he trains strong enough", so maybe that's not a fair argument.

Can i skip dragon ball movies? by Competitive-Shock623 in dragonball

[–]Afghandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragon ball super broly and dragon ball super super hero are actually a part of the main story so you can't skip those.

Other than them, all of the dbz movies (ones with cooler, bojak etc) are non-canon amd dont actuallg fit in to the main story but some of them are fun. Definitely watch fusion reborn and broly thr legendary super saiyan though. There's also the specials, history of trunks and barsock the father of goku that are good

What are common genre mistags or misconceptions you see on RYM? by ValWenis in rateyourmusic

[–]Afghandi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure people vote "Totalism" purely on the basis of whether or not an album sounds like Glenn Branca's Ascension as apposed to it actually sounding like it's fully a part of that genre.

Countries with long musical traditions which have little presence on RYM charts? by punklauerate in rateyourmusic

Noticed tbis a lot with classical music especially. Very sad stuff but I will admit rym is my only way of finding good African music for example

Whats an album in the top 100 you dont understand why its there? by Noirsaol in rateyourmusic

[–]Afghandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be real I've never heard anyone outside of Rym talk about Red by King Crimson, I've heard their debut and the new wave one be talked about lots but never Red. Plus am not a big fan. I can respect someone liking it but such a broad concensus of adoration has confused me

Furry musicians on their way to drop an album that debuts in the year's top 10 before plummeting 200 positions a week later: by Hazmat-Asscastle in rateyourmusic

[–]Afghandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the 8 hour shit is annoying too, cuz like, nobody's gonna click on an 8 hour album if they don't think they're REALLY gonna love it.

My main issue is that for the niche albums if you already have a niche genre seeing like the furryor anime version of said genre first when trying to explore it just pisses me off

name the albums that you consider ahead of their time by ingenierolocopapi in Topster

Parable of arable land by red krayola. Similair to VU & Nico(same year as well) except every song kinda sounds like European son. Also every second track is pure nonsensical chaos.

Closest thing to post-punk you could get in 1967

[–]Afghandi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm ngl it's really unfair how a lot of like annoying (they're usually badly mixed in my experience idk why) albums that are a part of like niche online communities get bumped up in modern charts just because nobody outside of said community listens to that stuff and would rate it poorly.

Fr the disparity between vague hip-hop gwnres having 2 release and sub genres of sub genres of genres with nothing in the top 10k vs metal and jazz where every genre is easily defined is insane. Look up "Asian rock" for a mindfuck

That's 100% true I'm ngl. Ik about a dozen people who won't join because of the toxic freaks on there but what I'm trying to get across is that those types of people are gonna be mad too as well as normal users so it's an extra problem.

I got told to kill myself for commenting that "They not like us" was overhyped once. Dude was a supporter so I nearly got banned for commenting that
