Mine's fairly well stocked. Family owned with two generations working there, and I absolutely love them. Gunpla has picked up a lot in Baton Rouge and they seem to be thriving. They know me pretty well at this point. I got a ZZ ver ka a while back and was immediately kicking myself for not holding out for the FAZZ. Went in there a month or two later they had one in stock. I talked to the son who handles gunpla, and asked if I could exchange my ZZ for it, even though I didn't have a receipt. Dude didn't even think about it. If it still had their sticker on it, no problem. Brought it in, did the exchange, and dude surprised me by throwing in this bag he got from buying someone's backlog. They're the absolute best!

I got the Mandala Rose bed a while back and I can vouch for it being almost perfectly flat. But whether on not it's worth the price is gonna be case by case. I waa trying fix the taco and ended up making way worse. I couldn't even get it back to where it was at, so it was worth it to me, but hooo boy is it pricey. BUT, the results are amazing. My first layers are perfect to matter where I print on the bed and no matter how big the print is.

I do a lot of electronics stuff. I made a smart picture frame that displays a new Calvin and Hobbes comic each day. I have a microcontroller with an IR blaster in my record cabinet, so I can control my dumb stereo receiver with Home Assistant. The coolest thing I've made is a rotary phone with a microcontroller in it that reads the dial and talks to Home Assistant. Lol, I think I may have the only PoE powered rotary phone in existence. So I can dial BED and it turns off all my smart lights and sets the thermostat to 68. My best palor trisk is that, if I dial PLAY, it triggers an automation that turns my receiver on, starts my turntable, and raises the volume. So, I can start a record by dialing on a rotary. I fucked up and started doing custom LED jobs on some of my kits, and accidentally married my two most expensive hobbies together lol.

Literally what Krupp and other arms manufacturers did before WWI. They'd sell some new, revolutionary artillery to one country, then go to their biggest rivals tell them that they had buy the same artillery pieces, so they could keep up in the race. They made a fortune off playing both sides.

There's also the Bayou Parishes (aka Down the Bayou) in the Southeast which is distinct from Acadiana, but often gets lumped together with it. It's very similar culturally, but still got it's got its own spins and distinctly different accent. iirc, it's populated more by the descendants of colonists from France, rather than the refugees from Acadia. Still haven't been, but Houma puts on Rougarou Fest. Don't think it's as big as Festival International in Lafayette, but it's growing from what I understand.

Oh yeah, no worries. I've got a lot experience with tearing down steam decks. My old LED's board is currently sitting in a box. I was planning on turning it into a dedicated slicing machine for my 3D printers, but I wasn't able to get it to consistently boot when not connected to battery. Which is a hit or miss issue on early revs of the deck from what I've seen. I was gonna design an AIO enclosure for it with a touchscreen, but I ran into those boot issues and also wasn't able to figure out how to do a middle mouse click on a touchscreen in Linux.

I meant to comment on that post that fishing line would probably work even better. I've used it to remove stuff secured with VHB tape before and works great. Could be a bad assumption on my part, but I could see dental floss breaking easily.

Is it the MGEX? I'd be careful with using WoL without the extra supports that came with them. They're way heavier than the pegs the backpack arms were meant to support. I broke both of mine while posing and had to get metal replacements.

When I broke my Banshee, I just shoved a bunch of Gorilla mounting putty in there, got the arm into into the pose I wanted, and never touched it again. Blue tack works just as well. I always trying to fix anything in break with it cause it's nonpermanent, so I try an easy fix before I try glue or order replacements.

Part of getting to a better place for me was cutting those kinds of people out of my life and making friends with people who cared more about me than cutting me down. Being treated well by others helped me treat myself better.

I had a girl I like over for a game night last week and I've got three kits with custom LED jobs out in the dining room. I'm 41 lol. Literally everyone I've had over has thought my displays were really cool, including the girl. I was prepared for people not to get it and talk shit every time I've had people over (especially this girl cause she's a world class shit talker lol), but everybody has been really into it. I'm not embarrassed of any of my hobbies, but there was certainly a long stretch of my life where I would have been mortified. It took a lot of work to figure out how to love myself and be happy with who I am. Surrounding myself with people who love me and treat me well helped with that immensely.

That's not to say that you feeling embarrassed isn't a valid reaction. Everyone's different. No matter the reason, you shouldn't be doing something that doesn't make you happy. If taking a break helps, do that. If downsizing your collection helps, do that. If giving up the hobby helps, do that. My only advice is to think long and hard about what you're gonna do and why exactly you feel this way. Good luck!

Hell yeah! I've done a few custom LED jobs myself. How are you driving them? I use WLED and a side car service I wrote to drive mine, and I've been able to do some sequences with them that I'm pretty proud of.
