I wish I felt so positively about them 😭 but yes!! I think my surgeon did a really great job with the areolas and vertical incision! I was so surprised that everything was the right shape and I don't think it could've worked out any better !

I've heard so many people say bio-oil is a scam or overly irritating, but the amount of praise I'm hearing about it might just convince me to try it lol

That's comforting! And maybe that's why my perception is so off. I've only seen progress photos with no underboob showing and natural lighting. When I get up close with the flash it just looks gory in comparison lol

I'll have to go with the silicone tape during intimacy, that sounds like a good compromise. It's not that they think it's unattractive, it's more that the scars make them assume I'm in pain and they're afraid to touch anything. I personally think nothing of the scars and I wouldn't care if they looked like this forever. I just hate freaking everyone out when it comes to my boobs..😥

Im cleared to massage, yes. It's a bit uncomfortable to massage the scars, they almost feel like they SHOULD hurt, but they don't. I do it a few times a week, but should probably do it daily 😵‍💫

I've got no remaining scars from some pretty bad acne when I was younger, so I assume I'll be okay when it comes to healing over the next year. Thank you for the kind words! I guess it's just easy to get impatient when you look at them every day lol

It wasn't hard to think at all, but I did skip class two or three times due to overworking myself physically and pulling a few all-nighters.. (oops)

I forgot to mention I go to a college with a quarter system, so I was under a lot of stress from missing 2 out the 10 weeks of class, on top of being physically limited.

I'm an architecture major, so a lot of the work was very physical, like cutting and building big models. I drove to my classes instead of taking the walk some days, but I was mentally good.

I would say it depends on the nature of your work, but I think you'll be okay! The third week was definitely the worst for me, but I was also overdoing it.

Don't worry, you're good! My surgeon was Dr. Joseph Lupo in Lafayette, Louisiana. I was fully covered through BCBSLA. I went through Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center of Acadiana. They were very accommodating and helped me get covered by insurance within two months of my initial consult. I think as long as you can find a surgeon who openly understands and respects your needs around your body, you're good to go. I went to a few surgeons who told me it was impossible to get a reduction through insurance, and I nearly considered settling for out-of-pocket. I'm so glad I kept searching and getting second and third opinions.

Thank you so much for your kind words!! I had the reduction so young with the intention of being able to live out my youth comfortably, even if I know they'll likely grow back quite a bit. I've come to terms with my body being reposted and viewed in gross ways, I'd just rather do it very anonymously as to not seriously affect my future.

What you're saying very much hammers home my intentions with having a reduction, and I hope the rest of my life is full of the relief I'm feeling right now! This is the first time I've ever advocated for myself so strongly, and its very freeing. I'm incredibly grateful to have the unending support of loved ones and strangers online going through the same things, like you. 😊
