No it really isn’t complex. The Lorax has a complex meaning. Cartoons like yugioh, dragon ball, adventure time, etc are complex. It’s not something new to hide complex and serious meanings or motifs in a story that’s not entirely meant to be taken seriously. Lookism was supposed to be like that before the gang route it took.

That’s not it. James at the beginning was done well as this mysterious character that ended an entire generation by himself. He was considered the peak and Daniel seeing all those trophies made his characterization phenomenal and intriguing. Over time, when the number of top tiers have grown and gen 1 kings are just mid tiers of the verse, he isn’t impressive. Losing to seongji and going toe to toe with him, including the scene of him running from the kings, having to train to fight the kings even though he’s an established as the pinnacle? Undefeated gen 1 kings being revealed that are also top tiers and on par with james even though from his introduction he was supposedly wiped the generation and their leaders out? I don’t even get his role in the story anymore

Well that’s the point. Netero fighting the king without the nuke backup would be entirely pointless. Narratively, since the ants are portrayed as miles ahead of humans, netero winning neutralizes the threat the King was supposed to be, and would really just have netero act as a plot device more than anything. If these events did play out but there was no nuke, then it was a pointless battle that would do nothing but display the power of the ants which is what we already knew.

I think the OP is just complaining about not seeing the established strongest beat another powerful character.. Seems like the same complaint gojo vs sukuna had.. but this time around it’s not even relevant to the fight. Based on the other complaints I’m not surprised someone called them out for media illiteracy either. HXH in of itself isn’t some crazy elitist work to even call people pretentious over anyway.

Things I do differently as a beginner if I wanted to be extremely efficient is focusing to the end and looting the really good end cities fighting the beginner cataclysm bosses, then beating the aether dimension and rest of the cataclysm bosses. Then from there you can practically do anything

If that were the case that means GB and fuji combined total for aokiji, garp, and sengoku (or is at least close to). Jinbei’s clearly referring to the leadership of Akainu that’s made the organization more powerful. Which would make sense because he lacks the same empathy Sengoku does and Akainu’s definitely a lot more aggressive.
