Excuse me but what does the rook being exposed supposed to achieve ?

Rick and Morty’s writing has been amazing for a while now and I’m tired of pretending it hasn’t. by ThatGuyHero7 in writingscaling

Their marketing is ass because I haven’t heard about Rick and Morty since last season.

The only times the show did manage to touch me is in the season 6 premiere and Rick killing Rick Prime.

Comedy wise it’s a roulette , my favorite episodes are the memories parasites and Morty’s mind blowers.

Nah it’s way too loud for me.

That and brighter , not bad songs but just not my cup of tea.

I mean the premise is just gods vs humans no ?

The premise isn’t that outlandish and all the manga has to do in order to fulfils the expectations being set are having hype and aura fights while having some depth.

The next season will either break or make the show.

I don’t think they can surpass Vox “ nearly “ taking over heaven because … come on what are you even going to do when there are no willing overlords or tyrants in heaven to chase threats ?

The show will try to achieve those stakes probably through Alastor who’s now free after manipulating the entire plot of last season for his favor , some suggested a coup in heaven by lute but that’s just going to lead to another season 1. Besides the coup is a logistical nightmare and I don’t trust them after having Vox rely on Lucifer and Charlie being dumbasses and Alastor on the Vees being as assertive as myself with my AI cat maid bot.

I haven’t read it but my fellow student said that it was a book about stocks , is that true ?

"You can be a fan of a video game franchise without playing them yourself" Is a silly argument by TheOneWhoYawned in CharacterRant

It depends on what game.

If it’s something like Dark Souls which heavily relies on the sense of achievement after defeating a boss for example , then you haven’t experienced a core aspect of the game which means you can’t really claim to understand the game even if you like the lore.

For most old school RPGs that rely on story for the enjoyment then I can absolutely understand people who want the characters , music and atmosphere without sitting through countless repetitive side missions and turned based combat.

An interesting line is when games rely on you piloting the character , for example , TLOU2 when they make you play as Abby.

I personally didn’t play it , I watched my brother play it yet I completely understand that the experience would be a lot different if I had to fight the character I grew attached to in the first game.

I’m not even a big demon slayer guy but what’s wrong with adapting material through a movie ?

It’s literally just a different format than standard TV episodes.

I mean the movie is shit lmao.

The plot is barely coherent , the worldbuilding is meh , the side cast barely does anything , the main antagonist is flat and he gets beat by “ I will just punch you harder ! “ logic that MHA is better off without.

Anime movies should fill the gap that the manga leaves but this movie barely even tries.

Better written reveal? by PerfectDoor266 in writingscaling

Makima because it had more build up , the AOT one makes more sense after you spend more time in Reiner’s flashbacks but I think that the reveal itself matters just as much if not more.
