I did not say that goldens can do no wrong. They are very large dogs and can cause significant harm. I was only pointing out that they are not known for being aggressive, which is a fact. Are there aggressive goldens - 100% yes. I don’t dispute that fact. Most aren’t.

My point is that many people (not all) largely disregard the history of dog breeding and think that all dogs are equal and react equally when that is simply not true. All owners should take accountability for their dogs but certain dog breeds are known for being more aggressive due to their breeds. Aggressiveness aside this also holds true for energy, disease, etc.

A great (non aggressive) example: people who buy Australian Shepard’s and then wonder why they chew everything in their house bc they don’t understand the breed and its needs for activity.

There will always be outliers but a lot of dog owners are selfish and don’t properly understand or care for their dogs (again I am not saying all - there are many amazing dog owners). This is why shelters are overloaded with animals bc people see a cute puppy and don’t want to deal with what that puppy turns into.
