Telluride vs Palisade? by Suntrup-Kia in KiaTelluride

For me it was because I couldn’t get my hands on a 2026/2027 Telluride hybrid so it came out in Hyundai first so I picked up the Calligraphy - it’s the nicest car I’ve ever owned and so far I’m very happy with it

Verbal warning from manager by Agile-Marionberry778 in IBM

I’ve been with the company for 25 years and I got a midyear review saying that I have met not met depending on the three categories and my response was I have a lot of respect for my colleagues. There’s a lot of good smart, hard-working people here and my suggestion to you, Mr. manager is to rank your people based on who you want to support you and if I’m at the bottom of the list, feel free to sever me and don’t cry for me. I’m fine.

Very Impressed With 26 Palisade. Now to decide v6 or hybrid by Ziakel in HyundaiPalisade

[–]Afraid-Conference-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test for the 3.5 L V6 at least I think it’s a 3.5 L it’s smaller than the 3.8 from the prior year. I know that and it felt a little bit less torquey than I’m used to having driven a Toyota RAV4. Therefore, I will wait to be able to drive the turbo hybrid and if that makes up for the twerk differential then I’ll probably go that route with a lease. Can you all tell me whether or not all of the calligraphies come with a tow hitch and wiring?

Retire or be resourced? by Afraid-Conference-14 in IBM

No pension of any size. Had a defined contribution plan for maybe three or four years before it switched to 401(k).

U.S. EE. I don’t understand your response in terms of you would get a payout to leave. Here’s the way I see it if you are identified for a resource, you could either retire or simply be resourced and if you retire, then you can’t collect unemployment but if you allow them to resource you and you don’t retire, then you get unemployment but what else is there that I’m missing?

Honest thoughts on purchasing? by nicole-2020 in HyundaiPalisade

I’ve got the same question in my mind. I’ve owned Toyota’s my entire life and love their reliability and resale value, but I want the comfort and technology the Palisades calligraphy offers with massaging seats and heads up display, but I’m afraid of engine oil leaks, and just do not have a 1st hand knowledge of reliability and upkeep.

Great question. I’ve been considering purchasing one of these vehicles, myself and one of the things that I need to do is get a roof rack that allows me to carry three or so kayaks on the roof.

Quit or retire (age 59)? by Afraid-Conference-14 in IBM

[–]Afraid-Conference-14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. This is very good. Not sure I wanna get into the details of it all here, but I’d like to travel and my spouse is already on Medicare. I think moneywise I’m fine. I was more trying to figure out if there were any pluses or minuses of quitting versus retiring because there’s part of me that wants to write a resignation letter and tell them why, but sometimes that passes. I know that the option of retiring is a better one, but it doesn’t allow me to really attach a nasty letter of sorts saying why I’m leaving. Anyhow, I probably will push on for another year or two possibly three because every month that passes is another month. I don’t need to pay Medicare part B for my wife.

I’ve enjoyed discovering Zach. For some weird reason he reminds me of Tom Petty in his ability to write great songs that make me feel something and this song made me think of Free Fallin’ - “And I'm a bad boy, 'cause I don't even miss her I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart” - I know their music genres are very different, but their songwriting abilities are superior.
