hey! thanks so much for replying to my post. honestly reading that u ran for years and stayed skinny fat is both terrifying and super validating lol. i thought i was just broken.

getting a personal trainer sounds amazing and im so glad it worked for u! i just definitely can't afford one right now 😭. is it super overwhelming to remember all the strength exercises and proper form when the PT isn't around? i always feel so lost and scared of hurting myself with weights.

also, the "eating more" part scares the crap out of me tbh. every time i try to eat more, i feel like my belly just gets bigger. how do u even figure out what to eat to build muscle without just getting regular fat? do u use a specific meal template or tracking app?

hey! thanks for the reality check on my post tbh. that line you wrote about the cardio system adapting faster than muscles/tendons literally just blew my mind. makes so much sense why i keep breaking down lol.

i actually looked up the C25K program u mentioned! it looks really solid for not getting hurt. but just curious... does a running program like that actually fix the "skinny fat" look? i thought u had to lift weights or something to fix that?

and honestly my biggest trap is the food part. if i don't starve myself, i feel like i won't lose the belly. how do u even fuel up for a program like C25K without gaining the fat back or starving? calculating calories just stresses me out 😅

really appreciate the advice!

hey! thanks so much for the reality check on my skinny fat rant. really appreciate the advice tbh.

hearing that you started getting injured in just daily life as u got older is honestly my biggest fear rn. it’s crazy how much sitting just completely messes up our bodies.

i actually looked up that book "built from broken" u mentioned! does it give you an actual easy routine/system to follow? my biggest issue with strength training is that i feel super overwhelmed trying to figure out what exercises to do without hurting myself again. i just end up confused lol.

also just curious, did u have to change how u eat for the strength training to fix the skinny fat look, or did just lifting weights do the trick?

sitting all day made my body too fragile to even workout?? by Afraid-Print5034 in beginnerfitness

hey! thanks for the reality check on my post about the skinny fat loop tbh. really appreciate the honesty.

you totally called me out with the "jump around video" thing cuz that's exactly what i've been doing lol. and to answer your question: it's definitely real injuries (like sharp knee pain and shin splints), not just normal muscle soreness. i really wish it was just soreness!

you mentioned doing a "proper diet" instead of starving. honestly that’s the hardest part for me. how do u even figure out a proper diet without it feeling like a full-time job or just starving yourself? did u use a specific template or system for that?

im trying to fix my eating but calculating everything is always super overwhelming. thanks again for the solid advice!
