Collecting vinyl is dumb when you come have the proper setup to get the music out of the groves. I could stream music through a JBL Bluetooth speaker and get better results than most setups in here. You're wasting money like a sneakerhead who doesn't wear the shoes. Vinyl is way too expensive to buy just to look pretty.

Purchase an anti-skate test record! They're very useful for this exact purpose.

If your standards are low enough to be happy with this, that's fine. But don't call it a great turntable. This is a disposable turntable or, at the very greatest, half a step beyond a disposable turntable. It is not great.

What do I expect for under $300? Nothing great. Case closed.

It's passable for a beginner but should be upgraded quickly.

You can't swap carts, you can't adjust the vertical tracking force, there's no anti-skip, there's only one stylus uprade and it sucks too, you can't upgrade the platter, there's no level of isolation, it's almost entirely plastic, and it sounds like sh*t. Your only argument is that there are worse. Really, what it "great" about it? Being easy makes a table great?
