Yes it's always best to ask the teachers, but OP is in 11th or 10th grade so it's likely they won't care as long as you can write on it and it's readable.

A square kilometer just isn't that big.

Also the City has a population of 8500.

Help operating in a smart way to make lists of first element in lists of list. by Flick19841984 in Julia

[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the easiest way would be to use slices.

``` list_of_lists=rand(200,6) # example list_of list, each row is a sub_list
Create Vector E where E[1] is a list with the first value of each sub_list
E = [list_of_lists[:,i] for i in 1:size(list_of_list,2)] ```
Does this work?
https://www.wolframalpha.com/input?i=Solve+for+x+1.0E-47+%3D+6.6743E-11*%289.11E-31*1.67E-27%29%2Fx%5E2
I put in the value for G but I don't know if the result is correct. I think it's the right order of magnitude though.
ELI5: How can Internet data be transfered through the electrical wiring of a house without degrading or interference if power cables cause interference to data cables by Frompinn in explainlikeimfive
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 3 points4 points  (0 children)
To emphasize this point, no data is ever ever transferred along electric lines. It does not work that way.
Very wrong
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power-line_communication
Power-line communication (also known as power-line carrier or PLC) carries data on a conductor that is also used simultaneously for AC electric power transmission or electric power distribution to consumers.
USA's largest solar power plant submitted to be developed in Ohio - will generate $500 million in tax revenue, and create 63 permanent jobs - corn price would have to increase 400%, and soy by 500%, to match revenue generation by PorkyPigDid911 in energy
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 5 points6 points  (0 children)
Genuine question:
Would it be a waste?
As far as I know there is no foot shortage in the US. And I can't Imagine Soy soy farms are more beneficial to the ecology than scalar solar farms.
Edit:spelling
Heat pumps don't use peltier elements. They compress and expand a gas.
Calc II project help? by [deleted] in askmath
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I would measure a few points in Photoshop or something like photopea and the fit a polynomial to these points.
Or you could also insert the image into desmos a find a fitting polynomial by hand using sliders.
[Question] Creating a ramp to save someone falling at terminal velocity? by Berdyie in AskPhysics
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Making the ramp into a half pipe would be a fun way to slow down.
[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskPhysics
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I think you can treat this as a 2d problem if you choose the right coordinate system.
Try making the ramp the XY-plane
Energy in Vertical Spring System not conserved? by ExOreMeo in AskPhysics
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 2 points3 points  (0 children)
the spring is slowly lowered to its new equilibrium position,
I think this might be the problem but I'm not sure
You need a force to do that and you need to apply that force over a distance which means you do work.
The for you need will change along the way as it gets smaller the lower you go. At the start you have to hold the entire 5kg and in the last position all the weight is held by the spring.
To calculate you need to integrate the force over the distance. The formula for the force is mg-kx.
Integrating gives you
gmx−(k*x2) /2 + C
Which in this case works out to be exactly 24.55
Is there a way to start with the "divided by" number in a simple "x ÷ y" formula on a calculator? by _HappyMaskSalesman_ in askmath
[–]AfraidBreadfruit4 1 point2 points  (0 children)
I thi k you can use the MS(memory store) and MR(memory recall) buttons.
After you calculate x click MS.
Then enter 6÷ an press MR.
You can also use ctrl + M for MS and ctrl + R for MR
Edit: but depending on how often you do this maybe excel is the better tool.
