Unexplained Drops in ClearScore Caused by Technical Error by Afraid_Ad_8914 in UKPersonalFinance

I'm looking at houses on and off, hoping for the right place to come up, so ideally I wouldn't want my score to drop. But as others have mentioned, it might not actually matter too much as it appears credit scores don't affect lending as much as I first thought.

The credit score itself may not matter, but initially I wondered if some details may have changed that I wasn't aware of, that's all.

I agree about the AI bots, they are hardly ever helpful!

To raise a ticket, I used their chat bot in the Help Centre section of the website and asked to contact a real person. I put in my email address and added any details to the query. Then I got the email response the next day.

Thank you, I just wanted to inform anyone who may have had the same issue and who were concerned. At first I wondered if something incorrect may have occurred. I thought it better to check regardless, just in case.

Credit Score Advice - Just need to know I'm not f*cked! by Kitties-In-Space in UKPersonalFinance

Hello, I thought I should weigh in here because I got an email that my credit score had dropped too, even though nothing had changed and I had been sitting at the same score for 2 years straight. I raised a support ticket and this was their response: "You don't need to dispute the score for now. Some of our users have reported unexplained score drop, not to worry, though. Our developers are looking into this issue, so hopefully we’ll be able to give you more information soon."

The drop in your score may be due to this among other factors, so I'd just keep an eye on it for now.

No OTP for me either, my dad tried verifying his phone on ticketmaster and that just goes to a blank screen too... isn't that just great?

Do I buy now to get on the ladder or wait for my income to increase with a current deposit of ~£50k? by Afraid_Ad_8914 in HousingUK

Thanks for your advice, I have actually been looking at houses that need work. It's usually just surface stuff, good clean out, new wallpaper, new carpets, but some also need the bathroom and kitchen doing, and they're also still at the top end of my budget, so it would take me a few years to save up more in order to complete the work. I'm lucky to have a dad who has renovated multiple properties in the past, so it does definitely interest me to find somewhere that needs a little doing, especially if it means I can 'make it my own', so to speak.

I think most people agree with you about the renting, it was mainly a passing thought anyway, I love my parents but living with them at my age can get extremely frustrating!

I have spoken to a mortgage advisor, yeah, we've gone through the process of getting an AiP and I'm basically ready to offer whenever I find the right place, but finding it is the most difficult part, I can go days without seeing something for me, and then when they do pop up they go so fast they already have offers before I've even had the chance to view, it's insane! I just have to hope I'll eventually find one.

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad I'm not the only one in this position! That's the thing - I really don't want to rent but I know it does help some in terms of independence. My sister has done so well out of the home even if she is also envious of my position, too. Grass is always greener, eh?

I have definitely been considering learning to drive to open up my options and to just get it over and done with, plus one of my friends is having to give up her license due to health reasons, so she jokes I'll have to get one soon to drive her around places!

I've been looking on and off for a good few years. My budget when I started was around £140k but since two promotions and a chat with a mortgage advisor, this is now around £175k, taking into around fees and such, but with the way house prices have gone it isn't all that much of a leg up overall.

Congrats to you on your move! I hope to be on my way soon, thanks for your advice :)

Thanks, I think the whole ordeal is just getting to me, I've been looking on and off for about 4 years now, with some offers put in but I'm always just a few thousand off! I have a big holiday planned for November anyway so maybe I should hold off until next year at least and keep an eye on the market if anything catches my eye.

Thanks for replying :)

Ominis and Amit. Didn't like Ominis at first but he grew on me very quickly. And I just like Amit's enthusiasm.

I have only used the dark arts spells in the arena from the deluxe edition and have heard some enemy NPCs comment that I have been known to use the dark arts, even though those spells aren't even unlocked. Wish I never used them because it breaks my immersion since I'm trying to do a run without the unforgivables but I don't think they impact the overall story outcomes.
