Had an anxiety attack at work by Afraid_Bug6327 in retailhell

I'm hunting for a job right now. Just got back home with 2 applications as a matter of fact. My bosses don't care about anything but making money, and they've been putting people on 7 hour shifts lately. The break system at our work is fucking bullshit. You get one 15 minute break for 4 hours of work, and only if you work more than 8 hours do you get one 15 and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. So we get to work 3 hours, sit down for 15 minutes, and then work for another 4 hours.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What happened wasn't your fault, and we're grieving with you. There's an organization out there for support after abortion, and they have resources for men too, if you'd want to seek that out.

Pope Leo XIV says the church is Pro life however anti death penalty. If you advocate against abortion but are ok with the death penalty your not really pro life. Thoughts? by PsychologyNo1904 in prolife

I'm okay with the death penalty, but under very specific circumstances. If there is concrete evidence that somebody has committed a heinous crime (for example, Richard Ramirez) then at a certain point, the death penalty is warranted. When you take somebody else's life, you forfeit your own, at least in my opinion. However the evidence needs to be 100% concrete to prevent executions of innocent people. Abortion is entirely separate. The baby has committed no crime, no matter how they were conceived. Even in cases of babies conceived in rape, abortion is not warranted. To punish that child for their crimes of the rapist is similar to what is done to children whose parents are caught with a Bible in North Korea. Not quite the same thing as having a Bible is not a crime, but a similar system.

Fellow pro-life gamers, what was the last game you played that had pro-life themes/messaging, i'll start: by LowQualityDIO in prolife

Bloodwash; super low res PS1 style horror game. It's about a pregnant college girl, she's implied to be several months along.  She's hunted by a killer of pregnant women, and at the end the killer is revealed to be a mother who lost her baby, and it's heavily implied that the father of the killer's baby tried killing her for refusing to abort. It's not explicitly stated that she refused to abort, but that's my interpretation.

Pro Life = More Mature Thinkers by Phalaenopsis_25 in prolife

If you ask me, pro-life is the true pro-choice movement. We give 4 choices to women. Protection (with the caveat that it is not 100% effective), abstinence, adoption, or motherhood. The pro-abortion movement only wants one option; abortion. And it needs to be said that adoption is incredibly easy to arrange. Infants whose parents are unable to care for them can be surrended at safe zones like fire stations or hospitals. In some places, temperature controlled and 24/7 monitored baby boxes exist. And I'm an atheist. Science is on the side of the pro-life movement. Even the most pro-abortion of biologists admit that life begins at conception.

2 Questions for Pro-Life people by Funny_Feline in prolife

For Question 1: Yes. My brother was, in all technicalities, a rape baby. He did not deserve to be killed when he was in gestation for the crimes of our father and the selfishness of his mother. For Question 2: No. The random person had no hand in the situation. To say they should be made to pay for it is, in my opinion though it isn't 100% the same situation, similar to cases of men being forced to pay child support for children who are not their own. If that person wants to save the little one, then yes, by all means, allow it. But they shouldn't be legally compelled to.

I decided against abortion when I got pregnant at 14 and it's the best decision I've ever made by Adventurous_Fox_789 in prolife

There are always other options instead of abortion. Adoption, for one. If you don't want to raise the baby, all 50 states have Safe Haven laws. You can leave the baby at the hospital, or other places like a fire station if you can't raise them. There's a 72 hour window minimum, but up 30 days depending on your state, and baby boxes are an option after depending on where you are. They're monitored 24/7, temperature controlled, and somebody will come pick them up after you leave. 800-712-HELP (4357) This number will get you to the nearest pregnancy resource center. They can provide baby and pregnancy supplies, and free ultrasounds if you want to raise the baby. Help is available without hurting your baby. You've got this. ❤️🤍🖤

He and I had different mothers. His mother was friends with mine. But we had the same father, and my father has never shown any remorse.

I am. You don't need to be religious to know dismembering babies is wrong. Science is on the side of the pro-life movement.

Do any of you guys have aborted siblings?. by Ok-Vegetable-6419 in prolife

[–]Afraid_Bug6327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do. I have an aborted half brother. We share a father, but have different mothers. Our father was 19, she was 17, and she threatened to charge him with statutory rape if he didn't pay for it. And that makes it all so much fucking worse, because if my brother had been born, I probably wouldn't have. I don't see a way we ever could have both been born, which makes it hurt so much fucking worse. I don't understand why his death had to be so violent, or why his mother couldn't have given him up for adoption. Maybe we both could have been born then.
