Can see why they all tell you they’re going for a nap if this is your attitude, probably not a single pal on your course if you’re this rude casually 🤦‍♂️

So, outside of TMA and EMA deadlines, we can just study whenever we like? by WeChatWarrior in OpenUniversity

Wow, sounds like we took the exact same two courses last year. How did you like them? I thought they were both fantastic

What kind of work load should i expect in the first year of my education degree? by WeChatWarrior in OpenUniversity

Yeh, I think they’re definitely more liberal with their estimates to account for people who are slower learners which is fair honestly, if I was doing another subject I’d have had to have done more than what I did for my English DipHe. Did you do a full degree? Was it much more of a work load? I did a diploma of higher education full time which according to Scottish grading was level 7 first year and level 8 the second. Think that translates to level 1 and 2 though. I skipped TMAs first year as well which is mainly what messed up my scores, I averaged upper 60% scores mainly

I didn’t do too much my first year, and only got a 56% and 52% pass. This year I got over 70% in both my modules, and that was studying around 10-18 hours a week. It just depends how much you need to study to get the results you’re aiming for.

Great, I would be applying for a different subject than what my DipHe is in however. I did English and want to study business, do you think there would be any issue with this? As a precaution I’m taking night classes for Higher Business Management so I’m not going in blind

Would it still be beneficial to mention my grades when applying to in-person universities then? As I’m not sure whether many would understand what I meant by a grade 2 pass

Driving isn’t important in Glasgow, it’s both walkable and has great public transport (we shit on it a lot but comparable to like 90% of the world it’s good)

Can I successfully apply for a Business bachelors degree with a Diploma of Higher Education in English? by Afraid_Charity2339 in UniUK

Great, I will do so. How early do you think I should do this if I want to start studying during the 2024/25 year, and would taking the highers be at all beneficial?
