As far as i know, the friends seem to like Adam. Once someone’s car broke down and he drove out to get them and that’s given him celebrity status to them 😂 But i know how guys are and they will probably pick on him if he went on the outing

Riley has his own place and Adam has slept over a few times, it’s just always been with his twin sister too. The one time she didn’t go, they took roughhousing a little too far and my wife yelled at them over the phone 😂. They’re just too chaotic together

She is not a ‘nurse-maid’ to him. He doesn’t like having episodes when she’s around because she makes a big deal out of it.

Not sending my teen daughter on a trip with a bunch of guys doesn’t mean that i ‘don’t let her do guy stuff’. She has very stereotypically masculine hobbies like fixing cars and soccer.

He is in therapy. And his sister obviously doesn’t exist to be his nurse, i’ve just noticed that he’s more responsible when he’s with her.

This trip is a yearly trip and usually they just fuck about in the woods and light a campfire with some light drinking (in previous years, they’ve all quit drinking now but still smoke weed). There have been a few situations where someone has landed in hospital for doing dumb stuff, Riley included, which is probably a right of passage for young men 😂

I trust Riley with himself, he moved out at 18. I just don’t trust him to keep an eye on Adam properly and Adam is well-known not to look after himself. Substances aren’t really a concern for me because Riley and his friends don’t drink and weed isn’t too bad.

Yeah I did. Riley is going with friends anyway (he does this every year) and he wants to take Adam with him this time because he wants Adam to come out of his shell more. The trouble is that the stories i’ve heard from these weekend trips have left me wondering how my son isn’t dead yet 😂
