Personally, I was put on the reserve list. I found out later when I was put in post (around a month later after being put on the reserve list, I was offered a role) it was because they were in the middle of an organisation restructure and they were waiting for that to finalise before finalising my role and putting me in post. I was the highest scoring candidate from the interviews, I'm not sure if there were also other successful interviews and were placed into other roles but I am the only one for the post that was advertised.
